In episode 64 Can compared himself to a ship lost at sea, however, he said that the first time he kissed Sanem that changed. In episode 138 he said that he never felt like he belonged anywhere all he knew was to run away from his problems. He and Sanem are finally happily married, and they have their dream family after all the things that tested their love. Sanem is Can's lighthouse, safe port and anchor. Sanem the "Daydreamer" is anchored to reality by Can. They truly are two halves of a whole.

They rushed the ending a bit but its still an amazing show . Demet is an outstanding actress and so is Can

I’m so glad I found this Turkish series which was just by chance. Can and Demet truly portrayed their characters so well. The way Can looked at Demet you could really believe he was in love with her for real. I’ve never seen an actor that showed love in his eyes the way he did. Well done to all the cast too.

Derren was sold short by the writers as she deserved her happy ending with Bulut who they just said he left this morning when things the night before had been good with Can coming home from hospital! He was carrying Derren around and dancing all the time, they should at least have shown them at the wedding together! And why weren’t Aziz and Huma back for cans wedding!?

The best Turkish series,I never get tire of watching it all over again,.this was my 6th time already.

This is the ending that all of us wanted, but I wish the last part of the series wasn't so rushed. From when Can lost his memory to this part was so rushed that it was hard to believe that Sanem won't be compassionate and gracious to Can's brain injury and expect him to snap back to his original self in two episodes. Then another two episodes where Can chases Sanem, and Sanem refuses to entertain anything with him and rehashes old stuff. And then in one episode we have reconciliation, memory return, engagement, marriage, trip around the world, and kids. For all the misery the writers put Can and Sanem through, they could have given us more than one episode to show us a world of Canem that was now full of everything they wanted instead of a few minutes.

I thought "Knock on my Door" was great........ Early Bird is one of the best series. I've laughed, scream, cried even felt the love in this series. The blooming love & intimacy btween the 2 lead actors spilling on many of their scenes certainly contributed to the phenomenal success of this romcom series. It resulted to their amazing, stupendous, sexy chemistry that captured so many hearts all over the world. It made them look so sweet, natural and unscripted- perhaps needing no script at all and just improvised based on their feelings & what they felt was needed for such scenes, making them so astoundingly real, spontaneous & mesmerizing one forgets it's just for show. Except for some impractical parts, excessively unending poisonous schemes against can & sanem, too much stressful screaming and screeching at work scenes, the unexposed schemes of yighit and mrs.huma and a shouting angry sanem during can's marriage proposal in the final episode ( it destroyed what could have been a magical, very important and much awaited moment) 😅, it was all so lovely and feel- good it even makes u wish these 2 could have taken a few pages from their story lines as pointers in handling their own relationship issues. They could have learned from the problems and pressures experienced by their characters and applied it to their own private issues. "Love won't freeze, it will melt the ice. That is, IF the love is TRUE". How it could have been different.😊 But with all that have transpired since then, i can only shake my head in bittersweet wonder whenever i rewatch my favorite episodes. If onlys.. Anyways, i am still addicted to these super successful love story that after 4- 5 years is still currently spreading globally. That's why it's no wonder that the CANDEM tandem is still conquering so many hearts and fans and will continue to do so. I will always love this beautiful love story that triumphed over so much adversities. So haunting & poignant, that we wish even real love stories followed a formula and ended happily ever after.😂 Even for the 2 stars in it who also deserve their own happiness. But in real life, no matter how well meaning, we can only wish.. Thank you for Erkenci Kus!! Baya, baya, baya much love! ❤❤❤

My unnecessarily long comment: I absolutely love this series. The cast is phenomenal. I’ve never been so emotional watching something before. I literally watched it day and night for a week because it was so addicting and then restarted and finished it in another week. And I keep rewatching. A few things *in my opinion* - The drone was weird lol.. it felt out of place and took forever to get to them and the proposal was..awkward? Their electricity wasn’t there like it had been all this time. And the bandana and the ring just left the show when they had the car accident, and for me, those two things almost took on their own characters. In general the last episode felt really rushed and overacted. I wish instead of the pointless scenes in the last few episodes, they would’ve worked in a love story for Deren and CeyCey’s happiness, maybe a pregnancy for Leyla. Did we need to see Sanem chatting with Leyla and Mehriban, or Can and Sanem in the park playing frisbee and eating? We stayed here for all these hours lol we’ve seen that. It just really felt like they added a bunch of nothing and there was no connection with any of the characters like there had been for all this time. But, the ending was still the ending and it was beautiful. The very last scene was beautiful and it always makes my heart swell. I was hoping to see Can and Sanem walking down the pier to the yacht to sail to the Galapagos…I know it was implied but where was the boat lol. One huge thing I absolutely could have lived without the memory loss arc. It was unnecessary. The acting was still fantastic and especially the car accident and hospital scenes. It was actually heartbreaking and I’ve never cried like that watching a show. When Can wakes up, you really believe that he doesn’t know Sanem, his eyes are just different; Can Yaman is a great actor. I really wish they would have just gotten married after Yigit left. They didn’t get any time to relish in the fixing of their love before a new, huge problem arose. They went through so much to get to that point and it would’ve been nice to see Sanem’s parents see reason without tragedy when she said they were going away. They knew she was happy. Even when Sanem went back home after the accident, Mevkibe was still trying to put blame on Can for upsetting Sanem and Nihat was so happy she came back, which okay it’s their daughter but she came back absolutely heartbroken. The way they wrote her parents characters was crazy, they’re so selfish. I love them, but I also can’t watch any scenes after Can and Sanem’s engagement. Before Can left, their own relationship was coming undone and you could see the spark fading… Everyone else’s opinions, the parents meddling, Polen, Yigit, Sanem’s immaturity and her refusal to understand where Can was coming from about Yigit and Can’s inability to be fair really broke them apart. And side note- Sanem constantly bringing other people to Can’s hut drove me crazy. She always chose to choose others instead of him every time. It was really disheartening that their parents didn’t care how much they were hurting both of them with the wedding issues. Even after Leyla and Emre had a shotgun wedding, they still made it an issue. It’s like Sanem wasn’t allowed to be happy. The year break they had from each other was so necessary and so well done. It was honestly amazing and my favorite part of the whole series. They both even look more mature than the beginning episodes and the new music they play for some of the scenes (specifically Can’s dream scene with the kids) really gets me in the heart. You could see how broken and hollow they were, no life in their eyes, truly fantastic acting. “Baya baya baya iyi”. They started to heal because they were together; Sanem had time to find her true self without Can, and Can got to think about who he really wanted to be. I wish her parents had been more supportive. They saw how she was coming back to life as soon as he returned and they handled it so selfishly and were so awful to him. Obviously they saw her pain when he left, but there was no regard for the fact that the relationship had two sides. To add more of their opinion and flat out reject their daughter’s decision to go to Galapagos was beyond frustrating and I’d just like to point out that Nihat took no responsibility for cursing Can. He cursed him to Sanem’s face and then told Mevkibe the accident was destiny. Crazy. Sanem was *so* impatient with Can after the accident. It was so hard to watch her be mad about it, it was so selfish. Obviously she was hurt and it was like losing him all over again but for her not to really acknowledge that it was a traumatic brain injury because of a tragic accident was upsetting. It was equally as hard to watch Emre and Leyla be so cold about Sanem trying to get him to remember her, and only thinking about the agency. It felt like Sanem’s character development after the accident was so wavering and she took so many steps back from where she was. She grew at the agency so quickly, became an author, a business owner, a publishing house owner and partner at Fikri Harika and then she turned back into a childish, jealous, moody lunatic who quits her career to live with her parents and work at their store? It didn’t make sense. A little bit of it would’ve been tolerable but I guess if Can really needed to lose his memory, she had to be full-Sanem for him to fall in love with who she really is. For me, it really took away from her character and all she and Can persevered. In the end though she let him go, which she never could do before and it did feel like growth. But I just wish viewers could have enjoyed their happiness when they decided to get back together and sail around the world because it was the best place their relationship had been. No lies, miscommunication cleared up, they were ready to be happy. I was also sad they abandoned their new style, I was really into it lol. Yigit deserved to be outed as the liar and manipulator he was!! That was so frustrating. He also lit the hut on fire and nothing happened with that either. It was hard to watch that steaming pile of dung just get away without giving Can peace of mind that he didn’t physically impair someone else for life. I would’ve loved to see a peek of Aylin’s misery and her learning about Emre and Leyla’s wedding lol. I wish we got a some kind of pregnancy announcement from them! The relationship between Leyla and Sanem grew into something really special. Emre’s character development was fantastic. Really amazing, he ended up being the glue for the family. Who would’ve thought at the start? Birand Tunca is a great actor. Where were Akif and Metin for the wedding? Akif missed Can’s birthday too but I guess that was because of Polen and her weird guest list. I really, really, really wish Deren could’ve had a happy ending with Bulut, I thought they were really cute together. Or even Metin like they hinted at the beginning of the series- even just if they showed up at the wedding! Or maybe a promotion, becoming a partner at the ageny, Aziz passing his shares to her, something! She had such an amazing character development and deserved an ending. Ayhan missing from her BFFs wedding was so sad and to not give CeyCey his happy ending was even more sad, he was such a great friend! Anil Celik is hysterical. An update on Osman would’ve been great, maybe seeing him on TV or something. He was a staple for a long part of the show. I also wish Deniz came back for Muzzo. It was sweet to see him stick around and become Sanem’s really great friend. His and Sanem’s friendship really bloomed at the farm as well. He wanted to be in her life so badly regardless of what capacity. I’m glad we got to see a little humility from Huma. She did end up making growth but I’m not sad she left distraught. It was a ‘too little too late’ situation and she didn’t get close to what she deserved. For Mehriban to step in as a parent after Aziz left her and Huma turned her into a crazy person was an odd choice. I actually really love her character. I think she is the only woman in Sanem’s life who never judges her, doesn’t make her feel bad for anything, she’s supportive and it’s because she’s an independent person. Not to see Aziz at the wedding after all he did for Can and Sanem’s relationship and for as close as they painted him and Can…Mehriban was wrong for the pettiness she played with Huma but it would’ve been great if they would have had them realize that Huma was quite obviously the reason they broke up before and if Aziz really had to leave, I wish they could have worked it out and been at the wedding together. It felt like Mehriban was being punished and how selfish of Aziz to just take off because for Can not to have his father there after all was a loose end I wish was tied up. Both of his parents left him on their own selfish whims when he wasn’t even healed. He deserved to have family at his side too. But I do love Mehriban abla and I’m happy she stepped in. With alllllllllllllll of that said, it doesn’t take away from what a fantastic series this is, albeit a little drawn out. I’ve never felt attached to a show before now. I will watch it over and over again. The entire cast was perfection. Can’s eyes are unmatched, Demet is so funny and their chemistry is palpable. I'm really annoyed that they didn't give Emre and Leyla full closure. They made a big scene with Emre doing the "baby proposal" and them trying to find themselves own home. But then forget it all and not show us them actually moving out off Leyla's parents house and starting a family.

Erkenci kuş is the best of all the Turkish series that I have seen. 😁👍❤ It's fun, it's light-hearted, the characters are lovable, the actors are wonderful. Can and Demet create a great, unforgettable couple! The excellent music, script, photography and direction achieved a spectacular story.

I’m so glad that this was the first every Turkish drama I’ve decided to watch. It was well worth the 161 episodes 😅 I not only fell in I’ve with the main characters but the minor characters too. This show was filled with so much laughter, fun and sadness. Love Can and Sanem. Can Yaman had a very special way of evoking various emotions through his eyes and I love him and his character. Their Chemistry.. the way they fight with each other.. the way they understand each other, stands by each others side.. I can just go on with the list..... Not to miss the other casts.. be it Mevkibe with her silent treatment.. JJ and Muzu's friendship, Deren's way of handling things, Emre and not to forget Leila.. Shes just gorgeous.. 😍 I can just go on and on with the praises that I've got for this Turkish series.. Even though this is the second time around watching their story; hearing the doctor at 25:25 say what he did, and then to see the look that crossed Can's face..was so amazing for many ways. I went all giggly and excited again for them. And btw, reports have come out in America that they are back together and buying a house?? True or not, I don't know; but they are each others Albatross, forever destined to come back to each other. But I do think they brought children into their story a bit too soon. Would have loved to see more of just their story about their trip and life together, first. The ending felt just too rushed through.

I found this series by accident. I saw a FB reel with Can Yaman. I had no idea who he was, but that particular reel exuded a powerful energy about him. That attracted my attention. Long story short I wrote a Pirate novel and many people have asked me if my novel was turned into a movie what young actor would I want to play the lead character. I had no answer because until I saw that reel, I couldn't think of any actor that had the kind of energy I would want to play my character, until 3 weeks ago. I put this series on with the intention of watching one episode and it pulled me into the proverbial rabbit hole and down I went for 161 episodes. There were times I laughed and laughed, times I wanted to shake the two of them, times when I became angry with some of the characters, and times I cried. The entire cast was amazing and I really cared about them. The chemistry of Can and Demet was beyond amazing and you could feel the energy between them. They should truly work together again at some point. Now that I binge watched it, I will need to watch it again because this was truly one of the best things I have ever watched.

This is the only series I never got bored with even though it's this long. I have been watching it from the first episode to this ending.. and it's all worth it. Thanks for the translator, too. I was able to understand every scene. The best Turkish drama-comedy series ever! ♥️ from 🇵🇭

This series changed my life. I’ve had Turkish friends my whole life but this show made me fall in love with everything Turkish. I’m even learning it atm! The characters were just beautiful and Can And Demet had the most amazing chemistry. Not sure if the rumours were true that they were in a relationship at the time, if not then it’s the best acting I’ve ever seen! I’ve laughed cried and felt the heartache from many scenes. My favorite part of the show was after she broke up with Can a year later where Sanem was living on the farm. She was just so beautiful, broken and fragile. I admire Early Bird (Day Dreamer) and realize why it is so successful. It is not just a love story with its ups and downs. Still, because of one's passion and love of life and nature (with perfume made from wildflowers), Early Bird delivers confidence, creativity, and teamwork and emphasizes the importance of women in the workforce and as entrepreneurs, all while telling a compelling love story. It has a deeper meaning for me. The three campaign scenes that exemplify women are the Labour/Workforce Campaign, the Sports Campaign, and the Cosmetics Campaign, where Sanem's (Demet) confidence invites, welcomes, and reminds women how important they are and to never give up on their dreams. Focusing on women in the various campaigns changes a typical comedy and romantic love story into significance. Sanem's passion for writing also revealed her confidence and philosophical awareness, yet she believed in fairytales. Lastly, I applaud the respect for women these Turkish series display with sensual scenes. The intrigue is with imagination. Proper clothing, hairstyle and makeup makes a woman beautiful; not scantilly clad women. Turkish women are beautiful. Their makeup is perfect, not too much or too little. The clothing reveals their glamorous shapes without revealing too much. The love scenes push us to use our imagination. Kudos to the Turkish series I have seen so far.

The reasons why this series captured the heart of the viewers its because not only the casts and the story are great but also because of the soundtracks that they put on it are soo beautiful and fantastic!!!! Bravoooo!!!! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘

Beautiful series❤️❤️❤️ It won over my heart!! Absolutely loved it!!! The romance and comedy 10/10!!! I only wished the ending wasn’t so rushed, the memory loss was so unnecessary.. and so many amazing characters were left with no follow up like Osman, Ayhan, Guliz, Ahylin and many others just disappeared like Bulut and Denise.. also his parents not present in the end? Emret and Leyla still living in the house, no kids, no car? Deren, Muzo and JJ all alone.. we never found out where JJ was from? I feel like it had much more potential but nevertheless it was great!!! I will start watching it from the beginning to fall in love with it all over again😉😍🥰❤

I didn't want this series to end. There are so many emotions! I love the song playing at the wedding. All the main characters were this until the very end: JJ, Derin, Emire, Muzu, Leiyla among others.

I only just noticed that the house they live in with the children is the one Can lived in at Merhiban s! Aaahhh how amazing as she’s like a mother figure to Can as well as close to Sanem so the children are her grandchildren too! How beautiful! I imagine in the future this could well happen for Demet and Can when they’ve done what they need to career wise on their own as their real chemistry is so beautiful M

I cannot believe I watched this series from the first episode till the very end. Many thanks to the translator for making this possible. This movie was so wonderful, you have no idea just how much I’ve laughed and cried while watching. The actors were great, especially the lead actors. They really embodied their roles.
