I tried to build a small and successful city as fast as I could. Normally, this isn't a problem except I played with disasters turned on. For nearly 84 years, the city was ravaged by toxic clouds and whirlpools, constantly wasting tax money repairing roads and zones. I even had to take out loans when our entire power infrastructure collapsed when I tried switching to natural gas plants entirely. I was within a few thousand simoleons when the alien armada finally arrived. Luckily there was no major damages to the city, so by 1980, I finally acquired about 52k simoleons without raising residential or commercial taxes, only raising industrial to offset the cost of pollution, and relying on importing (and burning) trash to offset the high costs of education and healthcare for the city. Overall, this was a fun challenge that only took about 2.5 hours irl and with further optimization, this can be done much quicker. Thank you for watching the timelapse!
