Stan Lee way of naming alter egos is quite evident here. Leonard Lewis, Mary Maxwell, Wayne Williams, Ramon Raymond, Joanie Jordan yup it shows one thing that, Stan Lee is consistent with naming convention.

@@redsonkr Yeah, but Squadron Supreme is more a darker and edgier version, sometimes edging into villain territory. Then again, Earth-8 literally had a fascist picking up a thunder god's weapon because Secret Empire was bad and whoever thought a Nazi was "worthy" of anything should feel bad.

I like to think Stan lee’s JLA is proof that he really could stand on his own creatively. There’s always been talk about him stealing ideas and pushing people out.

That kind of happens when you're the boss. Stan Lee came up with a mountain of good ideas on his own, yes the people under him also came up with ideas that got attribute to him since he was the face of the company but that doesn't make his contributions any less impressive.

Honestly, I think it's proof that he could not stand on his own creatively. Wonder Woman is the only really fleshed out and unique revision. The rest are pretty lame and Superman is terrible. Any kid that read Warlord of Mars could have come up with that. Obviously a lot of things are personal preference and if people enjoy these concepts then that's cool. But if you look at this media and his Stripperella, the body of his own creative work after Kirby is pretty dubious. Stan was gifted. But he was also an insatiable credit hog.

Superman is like this universe green lantern and fun fact was supposed to have green lantern as the strongest hero and they wanted him and Wonder Woman to be a couple. It’s was like a concept way in the beginning too I think their original writers were still on too.

@@risottopose9970 meh, caveman Bruce Wayne's suit was cool cause it was an actual giant's bat skin, this one looks a tad goofy. They should use primal Bruce's costume as base template imo.

@@risottopose9970 Not really. He spent long enough in the wrestling community to become rich doing it, so probably years. Imagine if someone dressed as a famous wrestler swung down into an alley to beat you up while you're committing a crime. Not saying you wouldn't be freaked but the fact he's dressed as a wrestler you know of wouldn't make him more scary than any dude grappling hook swinging at you.

I think using some of the familiar “tropes” of marvel and blending that with DC archetypes was fun! Overall I actually love how diverse and eclectic the team is. It’s not perfect but there’s some really cool lore here. I’d watch an animated film about it

That aside the point of using that culture is that the main Wonder Woman also comes from a culture whose old religion involved many gods with fantastical myths. As far as wanting to find a comparable pantheon to the lens the Greeks held you only really have a few options and making her Norse would have made her feel like a Thor ripoff.

@@caitlyncarvalho7637 When Stan Lee wanted to use a god for a superhero, he didn’t want to look to Greek nor Roman mythology because even in his time, they were overdone, so he turned to Norse mythology and wrote Thor! In Wonder Woman’s reimagining, he made her Incan.

In addition I think it might be good to introduce this version of the (Justice League) heroes in DC cartoon shows. What I imagine is that this version of the heroes, are presented when some of the known heroes travel to certain realms, and they come across two dimensions that have the same types of different versions of themselves. That being the (Justice League) of heroes of Earth-6 Realm, and the (Justice League) heroes of Earth-66 Realm.

The Flash's origin seemed more like the "Whizzer's" origin story. Also, this predated the renaming of Captain Marvel to "Shazam" so shouldn't he have been "Captain Marvel"? Or maybe Stan refused to let that happen.

They couldn't title the book captain marvel (only marvel can do that). So since the books were known as Shazam, that's probably what Stan Lee used to imagine the new character. (possibly also to try harder not to get sued, since it was Marvel's own walt disney "writing" the books).

That was sort of the point. Instead of the wizzard being named shazam, the actual crime fighter was named shazam and was saying its own name to transform. This was a new and different spin on the idea at the time

The New Batman origin change is very telling of how Stan Lee (and more broadly MARVEL) writes characters. Here the millionaire Bruce Wayne is turned into a working class dude who wrongfully goes to prison. It's a much more relatable origin, since Batman is usually the mortal that is closest to Godhood in all humanity.

I was always surprised Earth-6 wasn't a reborn Electropolis. But I get it, Earth-6, Earth-7, and Earth-8 are all heavily Marvel-influenced. (And Earth-51 is for all the characters designed by Jack Kirby, though he was no longer at Marvel at the time.)

I love how it doesn’t change they’re names or what the character was in the original universe, but instead it changes races and also its just Marvel to an extent and also takes these heroes’ names but still makes for some great stories from a legend

He didn’t change their superhero names, but he did change their secret identities so they all could be alliterative, just like his own characters. Peter Parker, Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Bruce Banner, and more.

The designation of this universe in the original multiverse was Earth-901, meanwhile in the original 52 multiverse was Earth-27 (this designation isn’t official) and in the current multiverse is Earth 6.

Hey, I recently discovered DC's Earth-14. An Earth where their's a Justice League of Assassins. All the members are enhanced super soliers. Presently, it's destroyed. But I want to know as much about it because I honestly find it very interesting and underrated. So could you please make a video, explaining many important things about that universe, of you haven't already. Please and thank you.
