In the aftermath of his attack on the Guardians of the Globe, Omniman is in the hospital, leaving Mark to take care of a dimensional invasion! He quickly learns that he has a LOT to learn, but the Teen Team steps in to help! Soon after, the aliens return, and this time Omniman steps in to put an end to them...and their planet. With the chilling words he says before doing so, we can't WAIT to see what happens next!

The first episode fantastically sets up the fact that Nolan is pretty much unrivaled on Earth, but here we see that he isn't just 'strongest on Earth' strong, he's also just strong in general, which means a *lot* in a story with alien civilizations and a bunch of superpowered individuals. An entire team of heroes and his own son only managed to defeat the Flaxans because they figured out a way to break the their anti-aging contingencies. Nolan went on their own planet where nothing was stopping them, and yet he managed to easily defeat them.

Man, I love how Eve just shows up with a DOPE power and great attitude, and is INSTANTLY one of the best characters in the show, along with having excellent chemistry with Mark. She's basically a Green Lantern, along with being an alchemist. Fun fact: she's voiced by Britta from Community!

Loved the bit with Allan, it was an interesting and charming perspective on some of the usual/unusual superhero tropes. I especially liked how Montana instantly realized, "oh, he's like a security inspector" because if you live in a universe like this you kind of need someone like him. Also, notable reminder, Mark eventually solved a problem with talking that his father had accidentally let fester for a while because he only ever used violence.

25:25 Yes, with training, Viltrumites can hold their breath in space for 2 weeks, maybe even more, I don’t remember if they can hold it for longer.

Comic and lore spoiler I think they hold their breath because it feels better because I've heard it said that they have special particles that maintain their metabolism even without oxygen. They don't need to breathe, they just prefer to.

@@SwordTune Spoilers: That's not true. Mark kills Conquest by choking him out. He let Conquest go to a planet to get a breath, but started choking him before he could inhale and killed him.

@@SwordTune they're more resistant to it, but DO need to breath. The particles are what allows them to hold their breath for so long, as they more efficiently disperse and maintain the oxygen levels in their bodies. But they will run out eventually and need to replenish it.

Invincible REALLY likes taking comic book ideas that have been done for a while and likes to punch you with the realism of what would happen. Superman always catches Lois Lane and brings her to safety. But at the speeds he’s carrying her that ALONE can mess her up when he moves fast. The air would HURT because it’s beating into you so hard. And if you DO push your speed to the max of being able to create shockwaves, it can get hot enough for the air to ignite. Being simply too low can cause all sorts of natural disasters. Sure you can have different planets and empires, but depending on the orbit, the climate, the revolution around its star, or just straight up being a different dimension can SERIOUSLY change the concept of time. Chances are these aliens live pretty close to their sun making years shorter, they might need a lot more sunlight, and the days go by faster and every bit of it can impact their time alive. So they just learned how to work with incredibly short timeframes. And with how quickly they dry out means they need a lot of moisture too. So a very moist planet close to its sun. Which…is pretty unusual actually. Or we can keep it simple and say different dimension means different time perception. Which is DEFINITELY more boring to figure out. But I guess that’s what Robot was mulling over. Also not many people can withstand laser blasters. Dupli-Kate literally getting shredded because she has no durability. Also Omni-Man MIGHT not be controlled. And there are a few people investigating it. Not the FBi, and not Hellboy. (Darkblood is the legend Clancy Brown who most would remember for his Lex Luthor in the Justice League cartoon and Superman cartoon.) So now we have super murder mysteries! And a teenager remembering he’s got hormones too. Very important

I think it's just that time flows faster in our world than in theirs. That is why they could attack every three days because to them they'd been home rebuilding and upgrading for decades according to Robot. So whenever they come to our planet they're experiencing days worth of thirst, hunger and just plain entropy every minute,

At first you see Omni man single handily take down the guardians and you think “oh so they just sucked” NO! Given what Nolan survives later, they were absolutely insane to be able to hurt him that badly. And the new guardians are NOT of the old guardians calibre.

You've seen the episodes in the future now, but to state what's said in the comics, they do state that Viltrumites can survive in space for up to 2 weeks while moving at full possible speed. Remembering that Viltrumites can essentiallly move as fast as even Red Rush could, they can essentially travel to different star systems just by flying without a ship.

omni man actually grew a beard because he was in the flaxan's dimension for 8 months until they finally opened the portal to allow him to leave. they never explain that in the show for some reason. he may have also been there for longer than 8 months and just lied to make debbie feel better. you age slower in the flaxans dimension so he wouldve had to been there for a while to grow a beard. possibly decades or centuries.

The whole breathe thing is not explained in the show. Viltrumites are able to hold their breathes for a very long time. In the comic, Nolan said he can hold his breathe for a week. Mark, at this point in time with his current power level, for about an hour.

Am I the only one who is surprised how fitting the voice of Jason Mantzoukas is for Rex? Not saying he is bad, he has experience as a voice actor. But being a fan of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and a getting into Close Enough and big Percy Jackson nerd, I'm surprised how his voice can fit such a young character

I think that it's shortsighted to disregard or discount someone's motives just because it seems like they're so much different than you are. This is the mindset that enables conflict. It's always worth a try to attempt to understand someone's motives, might not always work but it's important to try. That being said it's just a TV show so I hope yall try to still theorize why Omni-Man is acting this way!
