I guess you don't want a honest first impression review? If you won't watch the full video, you don't actually have interest in buying one. My take is not biased against Earthroamer. I have more experience living and traveling in a truck camper then anyone here (7 years). I considered buying a ER for World Travel, which is why I made this detailed research video. Finally seeing all the shortfalls with design (lack of storage, no good dirtbike carrier option, at the 19500 gvwr limit limiting offroad options, and creating huge rear axle weight bias) and when combined with the gold pricing at 800+ * and when compared to other builders similar options and builds at 450k, its an easy pass. Not sure how I can be less biased because Iseriously considered buying one before finishing my research! 😅

Facts - I have a bad back then it's not for you. I guess they would gripe about a Lamborghini being to low to the ground for him too.

@@irnieracing the LTi, even though it's smaller than the SX, is a worse value IMO. But ERs in general are more expensive for a reason - a giant carbon fiber shell is EXTREMELY expensive to make and test to aerospace grade requirements (which they did). This isn't just a camper shell, it's actually rated for really bad crashes and accidents in a way that other camper shells usually aren't.

If you buy the SX ask them to put 24 kv battery...and check if the solar panels can keep everything running in the day. Plus how long will take the alternator to charge the battery.

Maybe if you watched more then 8 minutes, you would have more insight into what a true expedition vehicle should be at this price point. It's a beautiful rig, but overweight, and not designed for "actual" 4x4 expeditions. More of a beautiful and expensive 4x4 road princess that does easy offroad. There are several other American made options with better price points, and some that won't tip over their gvwr

"Hater" haha just an honest review. Maybe one of the first on KZfaq? It's a fun rich-man (who doesn't want to research for a better solution) weekend warrior rig not practical for full time living and actual World Travelling such as Africa and beyond.

Would you change / reduce the weight so it's not overweight and change the price from 830k USD too? I agree it's a fantastic beautiful rig, but certainly not perfect at that price point. Being near or over the GVWR Limit is a terrible idea for 4x4ing. More likely to get stuck and break things.

Firstly, are we talking about crusing around North America or actually going with an Expedition rig setup for South America and Africa? There are many companies making builds to take the place of the Earthroamer for North America travel on and offroad. The closest style competition is GXV Hilt for half the cost at 450k usd. But there are many custom rig build companies that will build a Overland rig for 450k usd and less that has incredible amounts of storage and better offroad capabilities.
