Not only is the magnetic poles moving, the geographical location of the poles is also moving. In fact the Inuit Indians in northern Canada mentioned this fact a few years ago when the sun came up 2 days earlier in the Spring than it was supposed to in all their history. That is fact, not hype or paranoia or fear mongering.

IMHO, this is part of why they are trying to "diversify" as many locations as possible. It's really population distribution on a global scale. We don't know which areas will be frozen, which will be scorched, which land masses will sink and where new land will arise. You'd need a little bit of everyone in as many locations as possible so that hopefully a few groups would make it through and the genetic diversity would be enough to allow the remaining population to breed healthy offspring. Caveat to this is that anyone that ends up in an environment they aren't biologically designed for may end up dying. (Being very pale and ending up in the new equator or being very dark and ending up in the new arctic circle regions, which will probably be back to Ice Age sized. The Earth spends more time In Ice Ages than out of them. Keep in mind you won't have modern tech to keep you alive/safe/comfortable nor have what you need from a dietary standpoint.) It'd also explain the "freeze" (reduction in fossil fuel extraction, coal alone would be a big boon to have after a tech wipeout) on removing resources from the ground, they're safer in the ground than they are stored topside. (In the event that governments can reclaim them later.) There's a bunch of stuff built underground in the U.S., ideally it'd be EMP shielded. Won't matter though if ground liquefaction swallows it.

They have known about this forever. Why are they telling us now?

Why did he say something so ridiculous, and why act like damage to our electrical grid and our satellites is the big worry? The geologic record shows that these things happen about 12 to 13 thousand years apart, and are accompanied by mass extinctions, which really ought to tell us that there are some very serious biological consequences indeed. A magnetic reversal, even a very brief one, will likely cause massive climate disruptions - tried farming when the weather is crazy, lately? - and severe radiation bombardment, and that is just a little bit of the disaster it would entail.

When a pole shift occurs alot of water is going to be moving around all over this planet both human and animal life will be affected there will be an enormous loss of life. Reason being is when the polarity reversal occurs it will go fast.

Notice he keeps saying 'if it is relatively short lived'? Two key points. 1) we have no idea if it will be 'short lived' 2) The timeline is measured geologically, so a couple of hundred years is "short". Another key point he neglects to mention, yes we are headed towards the time with fewer large flares, but after that the cycle will reset and we can get many many large flares after that. Another point left out, look at the field strength data, the Earths magnetic field is already weakening. Defending against magnetic weakening and solar flares should be the #1 most important focus of all governments. This is NOT an "if" event, but a "when" and like he said, it will be soon.

A magnetic Pole shift also means that the area in which the magnetic pole originated from, northern Canada in this case, will begin to warm. And the continental area below at the south will begin to cool. In other words the area that the pole moves to will begin to cool. Why ? The magnetic pole is also fixed to the polar ice cap there by the cap will migrate with the magnetic pole producing lower temperatures in that region and warmer temperatures at the opposite of its movement. It also means the earth itself will tilt to collect more heat on the opposite side of the magnetic poles movement. This may be why there is the idea of "global warming" when in reality it is continental warming not global warming because the head of the movement of the magnetic pole drags the polar ice cap with it and causes continental cool in that region of the Earth. This is something the scientists don't want you to know, that the Earths tilt will change along with the magnetic pole shift. How this happens is due to the magnetosphere is connected to the suns magnetosphere which is responsible for our orbit and since the magnetosphere of the Earths is changing the result is a slight tilt of the Earth that will cause the warming of Canada and the US over time and the cooling and colder temperatures for the northern European continent. There is evidence with studies of the Wooly Mammoth that when this happens that instant freezing of thee areas may occur with resulting temperatures well below 100 below zero Fahrenheit for sustained periods of time and resulting in varying cold temperatures possibly lasting more than 12,000 or more years. This could point to a possible reestablishing of vegetation and rains returning to the Sahara regions of upper Africa in the future.

its been well established that magnetic reversals are linked w/ extinction level events...this guy is really down playing the whole thing. more cosmic rays mean more intensified weather extremes. also has human biological affects in numbers. our weakened magnetic field is already allowing smaller solar activity to cause geo-magnetic storms.

I love this guy he says that when the poles shift it will cause no damage to human life? I think the Atlanteans in the Lumrians would beg to differ with you. It's kind of like the guy standing in front of the Hindenburg disaster telling you to stand back go away nothing to see here. Everything will change when the pole shifts don't kid yourself continents sink civilizations die off, its not a good time.
