When this song came out in 1973, I was a senior in High School and I asked one of my classmates name Kenneth Austin (Big time) who is singing that song and he told me Earth, Wind & Fire. Kenneth was killed in 1977, and this song brings back memories and tears.

Wow. We carried my mother out to this song. Though there was definitely alt of tears and grief , she was beautiful as ever and def wanted us to live while we could and sing our hearts out. A year ago I was in shock, my only child had just passed away. Now a year later, I feel his absence profoundly. My older sister passed last March. Her daughter asked me about EWF songs her mother liked I told her all of them! Her mother introduced me to EWF and this was the first song I heard by them Keep Your Head To The Sky.

Sorry for your loss Vera. When I heard "Keep Your Head To The Sky" I was 14. EWF was a part of my high school and early adulthood years. My niece did a tribute to her mother using "That's The Way of the World" as background music.

This song has a lot of sentimental value for my Family. They played this during an outbreak of several tornadoes in Louisville KY to keep the kids calm. Almost a decade before my time, but it heavily influenced my Dad's love of EWF ❤ And I carry it forward for him. Take care, everyone.
