Eartha Kitt was a different kind of cat. She demanded respect and admiration. She displayed elegance, extravagance, and hyper sexuality all at once. She is proof that classy doesn’t contradict sexy. She is a hero of mine. If I could meet anyone from any time, she would be my #1.

Not this cut, however in about 1958 when I was 8, I saw her on the telly doing a similar cat related number where she sang and purred along with dance. Pardon my banality but it was right there that I realized what a sultry woman was and what that meant to a boy that would become a man. Not a sexual realization at that time (I was 8), but an awakening of the difference. I remembered her all this time.

In 1957 I was 12 years old. Eartha was my 1st celebrity crush when I saw her on a TV show. I remember the" What's my line" show as a guest she could not speak as it would give her away. She would make one sound for yes and another for no. They did not figure her out. Watch it on KZfaq.

I always wondered why her name was mentioned so much in the 70s when I was a small child. I knew she was catwoman but i never saw her performances. I know now that many women have stole bits and pieces from her. Grace Jones. Patti labelle. Diana Ross. Just to name a few. I clearly see that she was a trailblazer who probably stole from Josephine Baker. The original black woman trailblazer. I love it when people who were mishandled as children utilize the time that they have left on earth constructively.

ASTRO WORLD My God same, I'm sat here thinking she is absolutely exquisite. Her bone structure was exceptional. Beautiful eyes, cheekbones, skin and lips. She had a beautiful figure and exuded an elegant confidence and sexuality that was absolutely mesmerising. Soulful, intelligent, worldly, hard-working and super talented too. E Lo Marr I think she is exquisitely beautiful. Her bone structure is immaculate. Mesmerising eyes, beautiful skin, cheekbones sharp enough they could give you a paper cut, and full sensual lips. Her figure is to die for and she is totally magnetic. In my mind that is totally beautiful. Not to mention she is intelligent, accomplished, worldly and talented. I'm sat here wondering what your personal perception of beauty is. It's true what they say, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder".

I would've DIED to meet her just to tell her she was my, um, well, O.K., third crush. (Maria from "Sesame Street" and that "HEY, YOU GUYS!" lady from "The Electric Company" register first and second.)
