The UO Department of Geological Sciences hosts a community forum on the science and implications of earthquake hazards, with “The Really Big One: A Public Forum On Earthquake Hazards and Preparedness in the PNW”.
Panel experts - UO professors Doug Toomey, Amanda Thomas and Ray Weldon, OSU professor Chris Goldfinger, and Josh Bruce from the Oregon Partnership for Disaster Resilience - will offer insights into the science behind seismic hazards in the PNW region and strategies to help people prepare for a major earthquake.
This forum is sponsored by the UO Department of Geological Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, Office of the Vice President for Research & Innovation, Government & Community Relations, and Oregon Partnership for Disaster Resilience.
