Honestly same and not only with this movie. I used to watch the old cartoon series called The Lacets as a kid. It took me some time to find it again online, but wow, those graphics are really really horrible. I had visual memories of some scenes, but apparently also combined with some strong rose-tinted glasses. The reality was not what I remembered, not at all.

I never realized it as a kid, but this guy is absolutely wholesome when it comes to being a dad. He unapologetically adores and supports his daughter and I love it. I need more super wholesome parents on TV.
