Not to mention the game disc also doubled as a listenable music CD (most of the 'tracks' are the voice saying the title of the game but the level tracks are also present; I was able to pull the tracks into my iTunes).

That's because Tommy Tallarico replaced Mark Miller. You can see these name in end titles in both versions.

I have no idea why they didn't use the original redbook audio version of the soundtrack in the HD version. They had high quality music ready to go, as good as any rendition of the score was ever going to get.

+Rovi Decena well I always had the Genesis version. I still have it boxed intact. I'm talking about the Sega CD special edition in the vid here. It had extra levels, a new weapon, and the soundtrack is amazing. The HD remake that came out in 2010 didn't even have the extra levels. They are exclusive to the sega cd version.

+sladekiske Interesting you should say this, I had been looking for the game for years. I didn't even know it existed back in the day, but I didn't have a Sega CD growing up. I did have a Genesis and SNES though. That being said, just TODAY, I found a copy at a used game store in Ohio. It was $80 and I gladly paid it. It goes for over $100 regularly on eBay, so I was pleased. Glad to finally have this in my collection.

It was easily one of my most exciting pickups in recent memory. Couldn't believe I found it. I noticed it LITERALLY the second I stepped in the front door. I'm a dork, but my heart kind of skipped a beat. And in another shocking turn of events, it was MINT. Just a few marks on the case, but overall crystal clear, no cracks, and foam in the case. You can't ask for better condition than this. Apparently a guy traded his whole Sega CD collection in, and took supreme care of it. I had most of the other Sega CD games he traded in, other than Popful Mail, and Keio Flying Squadron. Keio had a $700 price tag on it. Apparently, this dude had every rare game for the system and he thought the best thing to do was to trade it in? I shudder to think what they offered him.

Anybody can beat this Sega cd Version. It has passwords for every level you beat. Try playing the Genesis Version without any passwords and all these levels. Snes is missing that 2nd too last level.

One. If you want to take no damage in Special Edition, you just need to shoot diagonally up. Shooting right is optional.

Nope, almost. Nintendo brought in Sony to help do just that, but there was a falling out between the companies, and Sony ran off with the prototype disc technology. That later became the original Playtation!
