If you don't want to use this method, try getting some large metal shelf brackets from Home Depot and screwing backwards L shaped on the back

Thanks for this tutorial! using this method would I just need to buy more brackets from Home Depot to make the 5ft backdrop stand like the 6ft using the remaining three panels?

You can do the same method in the video with the remaining 3 panels. Or you can use brackets
