I’m 17 and my mom usually shows me how to cook and I can cook but only when she’s there because I’m always asking her if this is is right way to do it. Today she went out and told me to cook dinner and I was kinda scared and not sure what to do so I’m really glad I found your video!! I was on the right track but wanted to make sure it was right

Good shortcut recipe but it might not have the depth of flavour that you get from slower cooking. Mamma's in Kentish Town, London made the best I've ever tasted. Served up with a fried plantain, callaloo and rice and peas.

What is the browning sauce from the bottle?
@HANALOGB Жыл бұрын
It's literally called browning sauce. Any regular grocery store would have it in the seasoning aisle. A brand that I see at Walmart or Safeway regularly is called "Kitchen Bouquet" with a yellow label.
@kdotwilly7935 Жыл бұрын
it is essentially sugar.
@khaoticman30557 ай бұрын

Most grocery stores carry it just look in the section that carries different ethnic products. Look in the Jamaican section of seasonings.

Nah ting. Your sugar is gonna burn wan ya put it in to early. A tip from granny is use a lickle treacle, for sweetness. Definitely NO brownin. That’s cheatin

I was taught by jamaicans…. Whilst in Jamaica. I wouldn’t have had any clue about adding sugar to oil if it wasn’t for my in laws recipe. Everyone cooks differently.
