EASIEST Low Fade Selfcut Tutorial (No 0.5 Guard REQUIRED!!)
Hello! This video shows you how to give yourself a low fade haircut without a 0.5guard and 1.5 guard. All you need is a hair clipper with an adjstable lever and three guards (#1, #2, and #3), which you can easily purchase them in your local stores such as Walmart, Target, or on Amazon.

Nice tutorial bro... I'm from South Africa and have been cutting my hair for years after a bad experience from a barber who had many clients and rushed with mine... Started learning on myself and I think I'm doing it well enough now, get compliments but the one thing I noticed before watching KZfaq tutorials is that we don't get 0.5 gaurds here with like any clipper and after watching the fades I noticed how clean it comes out that is until recently they had a limited edition whal with the 0.5!..so I grabbed it and I have to say it does make the fade super clean and MUCH easier to do... Keep up the good work!.. 🙏

Broski thanks for the comment. Yeah that was issue back when i started to cut my own hair. No 0.5 guard to be found nowhere. So i tried to cut my hair without em and it worked. But yeah it does make your selfcut easier with that guard. Thanks man I got many selfcut tutorials so check em out!!

Whats up man, I’ve been cutting my own hair sorta like this since I was 16, I’m 33 now, my brother taught me, I like the three mirror thing, that would definitely come in handy, I’ve always just sat on the since with a handheld mirror and used the mirror on top of the sink.

Bought the mirror using your code thanks to you. I’ve been cutting my hair since March and it’s gonna be nice to be able to comb my hair down instead of holding a handheld mirror. What do you do for length above the number two line-side and back? You used a three guard in your other video, but my problem is that my back head isn’t straight so I get an angled look (my two line looks longer than the three line above). Lmk if you can diagnose this issue lol. Cheers.

when starting with the #2 guard, you start with it closed going up an inch above the previous guideline or just half inch? & when cutting the left side of your hair do you switch hands or stay using your right?

I start with #2 OPEN just to give space for blending and for low fade stay with half inch because you wanna keep it low. I always switch my hand according to the side I am working on.

Take your time and go slow. This is the best tip I can give. Make sure you shadow your cut before you actually put blades on your hair like coordinate your left hand especially.

@@axeleli6845 Just did my cut yesterday. The low fade ended up being a mid-high fade haha, so just cut slowly and less than you think. One thing I struggled with is which mirror to look at. I discovered that if you look three mirrors deep, it's easier to guide yourself on the sides (vs looking at a reverse reflection). The back was the hardest part and I still feel it's uneven. I was scared too, but hair grows back and you gotta get over that fear because this is how you learn. I definitely made mistakes, but I'm already 💯 more confident the next time I cut. Get it bro!

@@adamloo85 i also did it and i love the sides but the back is so hard cus every movement is reversed, ill try the 3 way mirror and see if it helps like you said. i also feel like it's not so even but not insanely noticable. keep doing it yourself and we'll get better at it each time. definitely had worse cuts from barbers 🤣

Please can u make a video using a Braun trimmer set to do a low fade. I panik bought that a few months ago but then regretted it as It only had guards like 7,5,3,2,1 and the trimmer itself being 0. Can u show you using it to do a low fade on urself please I would really appreciate it

When making the initial guideline, how do you continue the line on the back? In the end my sides are pretty much a low fade but my initial guideline got too high in the back so it kinda looks like I've got a high fade at the back

Use corner of blade with #1 open. If it doesn't take out the line completely, then close up the lever lil bit and flick out
