Hi! I have a macbook pro mid 2012, i use it only for safari. for weeks it works fine until it freezes and won't unblock even waiting for days. same when i have to turn it on, for weeks i turn it on and off, until a day i turn it on and it gets forever stuck on the loading bar. i do the SOS on the hard disk, and mostly of the times it has no errors. all i can do is restore factory it and reinstall the OS. can you please tell me where is the problem? is it just the RAM problem? so i buy a new RAM and everything should be fine?

Hi, thanks for your sharing. In my situation it still shows the displays on the touch bar screen but when i touch it doesn't respond anything. I've tried what you share for several times but it still doesn't work. Is there any other ways or who know exactly what is the issue from?

Still works to this day! I randomly had my brightness, sounds and Siri button disappear it was only once it went I realised how much I actually use those sliders and was getting annoyed at where they had gone.. This solved my issue, thanks!

There is a control strip service on the Activity monitor, but there is no touch bar service on my Mac.

That is not a problem. Is your Touch Bar working now? If not the. Please try to drain the battery completely and start it. Any software issue will be fixed but hardware issues will need help from apple.

Yes, it will be useful for your issue. Basically these steps will just restart the service responsible for touchbar functioning.

Hi Debby, That is fine if you don’t have that process running. Just restart the Mac and it should be fixed.

Take a deep breath first and then just drain the battery of your Mac completely. Plug it to power and start it again any software issues will be resolved and then if touchbar doesn’t show up, it is most probably a hardware issue.

Hi Taylor, Probability of this being a hardware issue is high as you mentioned you are not able to see the process. I would give a call to apple service.

thanks for the video. I have a Macbook Pro 16. I did everything you said in this video and still my touch bar slider for volume and brightness doesn't slide. I used to be able to slide it; now to adjust the volume and brightness, I tap it again and again to change it.
