Creating logos with grids in Inkscape, which used to be a huge pain, is now very easy with the help of the Shape Builder Tool. Watch out, Adobe Illustrator!
Colors I used: f34c3dff, f17d2fff, ffbb24ff

I forgot to mention in the video, but if we go to File -> New from Template and choose the Shape Builder tab, we now have some awesome premade grids that we can use with the Shape Builder Tool. Enjoy!

Great, thanks for the video. At min 2:58 approx, to prevent that try changing in the preferences in tools from visual bounding box to geometric bounding box. It seems to do a better job for these precision things.

awesome...never knew about the shift to change stroke color...thats going to make things a lot easier for me...one thing i did learn the other day that couldve been used in this video is instead of duplicating a bunch of times...drag the item you want to duplicate and press the space bar it will duplicate it...i have yet to use the shape builder tool..i keep accidentaly clicking on it and it pisses me off...now i might have to click on it on puprpose...thanks for the video..

Nice how to use shape tool. What I don´t like is how to use it (as in AI too) you have to mark COMPLETE draw. That makes Corel far better, Inkscape follow years over years the wrong software and how to use tools. but anyway good Inkscape has shape building tool.
