I am not an aviator but this video just appeared on my mainpage and brought me back to my Flight Simulator 2004 days. The very first sim I've ever used... I remember how I had watched your training videos with big enthusiasm. I couldn't make it happen in real life but those were some of the most exciting days of my flight simulation life. Thank you guys for those memories and greetings from Turkey.

Back in the mid-90's I was working on my PPL and came across your teaching materials. Suffice it to say they were the best in helping me pass my written and oral exams. There is one example that I remember today that made me laught the first time I heard it, but I never forgot the lesson. It was about why there are two height values shown on a chart. I think it was your husband who said "The first is the height on the altimeter when you hit the tower, the second is how far you will fall" (or words to that effect). I never looked at a tower the same ever since :-) Thank you for your contribution to aviation. Watching this short piece makes me consider working on passing the IFR written test. Not that I could fly IFR now, but just because I'd like to see if I could.

Great video ma'am - but I have a question - in my local aerodrome charts, it says ILS Z RWY 28 (VAPO) AND for missed Approach Turn RIGHT on heading 290° and climb to 4500’. Then climbing turn RIGHT to join VOR hold at 6000’ or as directed by ATC. It does not mention any climb rate or VSpeed. Even for the other charts- VOR Y RWY 28 It says :Turn RIGHT on heading 290° and climb to 4500’. Then climbing turn RIGHT to join VOR hold at 6000’ or as directed by ATC. Similarly for the CAT II ILS Approach (Not alphabet) with same missed approach instructions. About 2-2.5NM straight out of RWY 28, there are terrainous mountainous regions elev- 1,230 ft Is there any standard climb rate?

There is no maximum age for attaining a private or commercial pilot certificate set forth in FARs, only minimum age for each. You must be able to pass a third class medical exam by an AME, as well as written exam and flight test following required training. Good luck, it's never too late to start.
