A dozen Works Datsuns took part in this event (1600SSS and 240Z). Z s where driving by nowadays well known men; Edgar Herrmann / Hans Schuller (D/D); Shekhar Mehta / Mike Doughty (EAK/EAK); Rauno Aaltonen / Paul Easter (SF/GB).
Datsuns took first and second place with a 240Z

I was 10yr old & watched the rally near Nandi hills-a trip to memory lane - those were the proper cars!!

Great videos Guus, i met Shekar in June 1994! My father was friends with him and also Mike Doughty who is still great craic and a good character!

I was there .Only 9years old though. I was allowed to stay up all night to watch the cars
