East Bay police chase ends in crash

Raw video shows police pursuing a car on an East Bay freeway. The car crashed and three people emerged from the vehicle. Two hopped over a barrier on the side of the freeway.

Getting passed in the bay area, by a vehicle doing 100mph+ is a more than every day occurrence. You see a lot of bad accidents involving just one vehicle. I was heading east on the Altamont pass one time and was passed by a 84 to 86 transam doing something stupid in the triple digits. It disappeared down the hill and around the next corner, and when I got around the next corner the TA was sliding on it's roof down the road (580E) I stopped to lookielou and do some snaps when I noticed the car had no scratches on the sides. He got it to lift and it floated and flipped. The driver was uninjured.

@@fishyfool That's been my experience here in the Bay Area as well. In this case, the vehicle was out of the driver's control for nine seconds before coming to a stop. In that span, it encountered two other cars, then re-encountered one of them. Still seems like fortune was in those drivers' favor in this one.

Its differs at certain parts, could be 15 feet or 10 also some bushes to break the fall, they crashed a bit further ahead his cells would of all separated and then been driven over multiple times by the idiots there

@@Tampinu there was a cop in his suv in front of him, its hard for me to believe he didn’t see him, they all came into my job demanding to see what our security cameras caught. Mostly just the cop watching the perp run out of our cameras view. He could of at least used his suv to block the guys path

This guy went flying by me right before the tunnel. I was like, the 30th car to go around this. Interesting to see how he crash. Sad that these kids will just get a slap on the wrist. We need to start charging the parents. That's the only way this will change.

Nope, this video didn't show it but the second guy that jumped broke his leg/ankle and didn't get far. The first guy that jumped was caught behind a house a couple blocks away about 2 minutes later.

@@XploreAz I have an 2021 Infinity Q50 Lux. My vehicle has turbo twin engines. The police don’t attempt to chase my vehicle in my city. They did purchase an Camaro and made sure that I knew about it. I don’t have a problem eluding the police if I want to.

Uuummmmmm. In the title of this video posted by Fox News, it says “chase ends”.. Maybe you missed the guy jumping down form the freeway overpass. To me it looked as though the case continues. Or did the officers just let him go due to the fact that they were all over their quota for “criminals caught in one day”? 2 out of 3 is waaaaaaaaaay better than the average. Like it all matters though. Somehow the laws will protect those two criminals and they will walk. The third guy gets away and he later splits the loot between them. They are currently buying more hi tech gear to steal their next BMW.
