By this point, the CPUSA was the FBI filled boat to nowhere that it is today, but since they still did free propaganda for the Eastern Bloc I guess its no surprise they talked about Gus Hall.

@@dariowiter3078 Lmao. The CPUSA hasn't been relevant since the 40s and even by then they were little more than mouthpiece for the Soviet Union and the KPSS. You either don't know about leftism in the US, or you're one of their shills.

I love Germany and German people, i was surprised by how much on my first visit there, have been to Dusseldorf, Munich, Stuttgart and Berlin many times, Berlin in particular fascinates me, there’s so much modern history there, one thing that intrigues me in particular is how East Germans used to live, the transformation from freedom to restrictions and back again, was there a feeling of patriotism as East Germans or did you still feel like you were simply German.

He looks like British rocker Cliff Richard, who finally broke through the American music market when his disco hit "Devil Woman" was released in 1976, just after America's Bicentennial celebration had ended. He was a British pop star since the '50s.

@@dariowiter3078I remember years ago some buddies and I were having some beers when a commercial for a collection of 70s music came on, along the other songs was Richards ‘It’s So Funny’ which was a hit in the US in around 1980 for a short time but was occasionally still played on easy listening stations, we Googled him not expecting to find much and we were both shocked and dead wrong, the man is a HUGE musical sensation and has been for years, the thing that struck us was how popular he was in English speaking Commonwealth nations but not near as much for some weird reason in America
