I normally don't like it when characters change actors but it was great that Todd Carty was casted for Mark, he was amazing as Mark.

Yes unlike the recasting of Michelle, Mark recasting by Todd Carty made the role his own. The original actor playing Mark as a fleeting character.

Todd Cartys recasting of Mark worked well as he had been a recurring fleeting character by the original actor. Todd really gave Mark depth and made him a rounded character. A bad recasting was definitely Jenna Coleman as Michelle. a great actress but Susan Tully owned the Role and Jenna ruined her legacy.

I thought the same thing. Arthur really tempted fate by asking the years to bring what they may. He would have an affair with Mrs. Hewitt and along with Pete would be dead within six years. Mark would have AIDS. Michelle would flee to the States pregnant by Grant. Life was not easy in Albert Square.

Cheers mate, it was very rare to find as he was a recast it only says the original Mark Fowler's first appearance on Wikipedia which was 1985 so my brother managed to find Todd Carty's :)

This wasn’t Todd’s first appearance. It was at the end of 21st August 1990.

Please can you find the Episode were Mark returns again to the Square by Riding at Michelle on his bike scareing her. Then he stops the bike takes off his helmet and says Alright Michelle and Then Michelle says Mark. I would love to see it again 😊
