How could EE turn Pauline into this in the end? Nasty and spiteful. Wendy was right to leave . Pauline had less purpose once Arthur died. RIP Wendy x

Pauline was nothing like this in the early days. Wendy was absolutely right to leave - the writer and producer who made these storylines will be forever remembered as the person who really destroyed a great character !

she was miserable before 2006 though, they just ramped it up in her departure storyline. She was outright miserable from about the late 90s on.

I can understand why Wendy Richard wanted to leave! I forgot who the EP was but they ruined Pauline and should have given her a better ending!
