The days when the Vic always had a resident dog! When Ian ran a chippy, when Phil and Grant were in the programme together, Cindy, Sanjay , Nigel...glory days of EastEnders. I'd rather watch this 3 nights a week than the crap version we have now 😭

Yep and thanks to these channels and uploaders we can. I have loved the glory days of early 90s to maybe 2000/2001 as steve owen and dan sullivan were good villians, after that I wont bother with it.

What I love about Eastenders and other UK Soaps is that there are Actresses who are born to play certain Characters. Jessie Wallace (Kat Slater) Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater) not to mention Steve McFadden (Phil Mitchell). Wouldn't it be cool if it were discovered that Steve was related to Gene McFadden of McFadden & Whitehead (Ain't No Stopping Us Now). They Co-Wrote The Backstabbers (The O'Jays) Bad Luck & Wake Up Everybody (Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes).

I'll say one thing, Letitia Dean handled her "Celebrity" much better than Daniella Westbrook. She may not have had the "issues" that Daniella had but to be able to grow up in front of The Soap Nation and keep one's "sanity" is truly a blessing.

Agreed but I think Daniella had already suffered a lot of sexual abuse and issues before EE she didn’t have a great start but Daniella definitely indulged in it instead of getting better

This is when EastEnders was genuinely about the quality of the dialogue and developing the characters...in comparison it's a virtually unwatchable soap now.

God Letters are a disaster on Soaps. Thorne Forrester keeps a Letter from Caroline to Ridge saying she still loved "him". He was in love with her and he and Brooke Logan conspired to keep her and Ridge apart. They of course got caught. Then Greg Nelson on All My Children gets a Letter the day his true Love Jenny Gardner is about to Marry a Man named Tony Barclay. He drives like a Bat out of H#ll to stop the wedding and he achieves it.

I'm sorry but Sharon is such a Hypocrite, she came back to town because she still wants Grant back and if she didn't care for what happened to him why is she pumping Michelle for information. I felt kind of bad for Kathy but she had to face the facts that alot of Soap Folks face, they are The Rebound Person or as Stephen Stills once said "If You Can't Be With The One You Love, Love The One You're With".

Everyone had just found out that she slept with Phil while married to Grant. Grant and Phil had just made proper peace, Sharon had been gone for 6 months and stirred things up lol.
