Pity Lou didn't live long enough to meet Peggy, two formidable matriarchs of different generations, different set of values, I doubt Lou would be happy with daughter in law Kathy marrying Phil.

Anna wing died after wendy Richard she could of played the part as long as pauline fowler did, i read somewhere anna wing regretted leaving EastEnders

@@matthewa.morgan6214 Yes it was her decision to leave and i think, with hindsight, that she felt she had left the show too soon. But once they killed her off there was no coming back, even if Den and Kathy both came back from the dead, as EastEnders had more realism back in the 80's.

When you play someone that people love to hate, you know you're doing your job properly. Lou may have been a bit angry knowing that her daughter, Grandchildren and Son In Law are living under her Roof. Back in the day Nancy Hughes on the US Soap Opera As The World Turns criticized her Daughter In Law Jennifer for having a Job (1970's) mind you. I thought well go to a place like Albert Square or even Weatherfield and deal with some irritating Mothers.
