Welcome back to Chateau de Puy Vidal. In this episode, Julia bravely takes on a bed and breakfast alcohol serving training (completely in French!) which is needed for us to operate the bed and breakfast portion of Puy Vidal this summer.
Penelope finally receives her Aerial Yoga rig and recruits the family to help her set it up in a (very) visible place in the chateau.
The whole family sets off for the famously delightful Easter weekend Chateau de La Lande. It's Robert's first time visiting La Lande and it's all of our first time experiencing the magic of this annual celebration‪@TheChateauDiaries‬ Follow their adventures on KZfaq and check out this event on their latest episode.

There is something so mysterious that happens to me when I watch your videos; I feel happy, very happy as if I am there with you living every moment. The fact that you have chosen to experience another life outside the United States ( and doing so well as you live it) almost gave me the hope that someday I too might choose another life in another location. You should consider hosting a residential program for French - for the entire season or for a couple of months. You could hire a a teacher from France who could give lessons and also include trips to interesting places in the region.

I LOVED this! It was alot of fun seeing Lalande from different views, thanks for taking us along! Your mom is funny "aren't you embarrassed? " when you had armfuls of candy. It's always a blessed weekend at LaLande during Easter. They really know how to throw a party. Your parents were so cute a the easter egg hunt. It was great getting a glimpse of Lalande through your dad’s perspective since he clearly hadn’t watched the vlog.😊 I would have loved to hear Phillip’s advice to you. He has a fascinating way of thinking things through and such an eye for detail. I remember when you allowed Stephanie to release the veiwing they did for you and thinking what a beautiful chateau and grounds. You’re all so lucky to have found it and to be creating such a wonderful business.

I've been watching several Chateau channels on KZfaq and I tripped across yours one day and I found myself binge watching your videos from day 1 of your channel. I have to say that I love your family dynamics, I love the progress and the future plans you have for your family as well as the Chateau as a business. I'm excited to see the remodel and the start of your summer season. I'm wondering how many acres your property is sitting on? Also, how wonderful the clouds look in France and how the sunsets/sunrises look on the clouds. No wonder I really enjoy paintings of the French landscapes and the beautiful fields and forests.

Oh my gosh when u2 went out in the morning and troubadour was sitting on the slab u2 need a statue of the dog and a painting to go somewhere In the Chateau... A first dog and cat of the Chateau if u could get someone to paint them.. Oh a idea ur mother she draws beautifully and she could color it with her pencils or paint.. 😊

What a wonderful vlog and what a wonderful chateau you have!!!! One small piece of advice. The EU has strict tax laws. One of them is that, in trade, when you advertise a service delivery or a product to sell, you need to advertise it with VAT INCLUDED. You may not quote a price and then say you still need to add 10% VAT. The right thing to do is advertise the price including the VAT and if you wish you could mention that that price includes 10% VAT. Again... a wonderful vlog!!!!

@@ladyofthechateau VAT is in England(20%). France is TVA - 20% standard tax. So if you advertise a room for 100 euros, the tax should be included in that 100 euros. In Europe people won’t appreciate that your advertise something for 100 and add 20% after…

Excellent piece of advice! When I was stationed with the military and worked with NATO for almost five years in Europe, I remember how pleasantly surprised I was when I made my first purchase in Germany. I quickly discovered that the tax or VAT, as it is called, was already included in my purchase. It was nice to put the extra money, that I had calculated for the taxes, back into my wallet. 😊

I love seeing your whole family having fun together. I thought Robert looked terrific wearing the bunny ears. You mentioned that it was a long drive to La Lande but you didn't say how long it took . Interesting I had no idea if you serve food you need a dining license. With an ice machine learn how to thoroughly clean it once in awhile. That alone is a nice treat. Maybe strawberry margaritas? Lots of yummy crushed ice drinks. Even home made lemonade with a sprig of mint. A lavender farm here makes a lemonade infused with lavender oils. It’s different and refreshing.

I remember from a previous vlog that you were concerned about losing window if you took part of one of the large bedrooms to make a hallway or something of that nature. When the LaLande group made their tour, Philip had pointed out some windows and maybe doors that had been closed up. I don't know if any of them were in the area(s) in question; but, if they are, then restoring those windows would make up for the windows lost. I will have to go back and watch that tour vlog.
