Take a small scoop and put your egg mix in with that, that works great plus you get perfect measurements in each egg.. This is something new for me, and I loved how easy and fast it was.

Mix all the ingredients but the potatoes and then when all the ingredients are blended add the potatoes, our family loves this casserole and we make it every Easter.

Oh forgot to say usually make potatoes add sour cream/butter/cheese shredded/little salt and chicken stalk when boil potatoes 🥔 ❤❤also

We're being pretty simple this year since my mum's working all over Easter (she's a community care worker) so it's just a decent sized chicken (its just the 2 of us but we'll use the leftover chicken for supplementing the dog's food, we're dog sitting my uncle's dog for a week and she won't eat her kibble without chicken, ham etc mixed in with it so it should do her a few days.) roast potatoes, carrots, stuffing (using my grandfather's recipe; 2 packs of stuffing mix, an onion, an egg, 2 packages of sausage and 283g breadcrumbs, mix, add to 2 greased loaf tins and cook until fully cooked, we make 2 at a time, slice, bag and freeze for later) gravy and potato croquettes (mashed potato shaped into little cylinders and rolled in breadcrumbs before oven cooking). We'll be stuffed so its unlikely we'll bother with dessert but I'd love to try that lemon cake at some point; only issue is that we don't have 'cool whip' or 'lemon pudding' in the UK. For us Brits 'pudding' is a type of steamed sponge that's often served with custard, ice cream or whipping cream. (When my mum was doing her training the 'Dysphagia' module (swallowing difficulties) gave 'pudding' as a texture example for one of the softer 'thickness levels'. She was beyond confused until I had a look and realised that the source being used was American, and quickly explained they meant more of a Greek yogurt type thickness as opposed to a really heavy sponge cake type texture; which would obviously cause a major choking hazard to anyone with swallowing issues) I could probably use fresh whipped cream to substitute the cool whip (or use a kind of powdered whipped cream substitute called "Bird's Dream Topping", that you mix with milk and Whisk- not unlike the US definition of 'pudding', some people use it on trifles instead of fresh cream) but we don't have any equivalent of 'lemon pudding' over here. The closest thing we have to it is "Angel Delight"; which is a powdered dessert mix that you add milk to and whip, not unlike 'Dream Topping', but the only flavours it comes in are Banana, Strawberry, Chocolate or Butterscotch. Might have to do a bit of research into whether adding lemon extract and a wee bit of yellow food colouring to 'Dream Topping' would mess with the formula. It did occur to me that lemon flavoured Jelly powder (in the UK we call "Jello" Jelly and "Jelly" Jam) might work but jelly for us is mostly sold as concentrated 'jelly cubes' that you melt down with boiling water and re-set in your preferred container; we can get jelly powder (the main jelly brand tends to sell regular jelly as cubes and 'sugar free' as powder) but I've never seen a Lemon flavour of Jelly powder so I might have to think about what to substitute the pudding for. Fortunately Mothers Day is in March for us so I have a while.

Happy Easter! We had a simple meal after making and serving breakfast for Sunrise Service. I just wanted to share a quick tip when making your deviled eggs. After making your filling put it in a Ziploc, cut one corner off, and pipe the filling into the eggs, quick and easy.

I want to make potatoes/gravy. I like the look of this potato casserole you made- I might try that instead. I have some Spring mix greens, so a salad sounds good. And I might make a pumpkin pie for tonight. You know...if you put your deviled egg mix into a zip top bag, clip the corner, you can pipe the mixer into the eggs. Saves time and mess. :)

When filling your deviled eggs, use a piping bag with a decorative tip. It goes faster and comes out beautiful.

Sounds like you're making what we call Grandma's potatoes that we make every Christmas. Very similar but ours are cubed frozen potatoes, cr. of chicken soup, sour cream, butter, cheddar cheese, green onions, blk. pepper and crushed saltines on top. I’ve never seen these type of potatoes you made before but they do look good! The tradition funeral potatoes is shredded potatoes, diced white onions, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, butter, cheddar cheese a bit of garlic powder, onion powder and salt. Then crushed corn flakes mixed with butter that you put on top. And for whatever reason they do end up being paired with ham so they would make a great Easter side dish. And yes in Utah they are a big deal and at my grandpas funeral luncheon at the church there were about 5 different funeral potatoes, lol.

I love deviled eggs! My secret ingredient is A squirt packet of leftover arby's horsey sauce. Sounds weird but it's really mild much more than putting horse radish sauce itself but it's so good.

I cook my eggs on the stovetop fresh out of my chicken coop, and they peel perfect every time too.

We;re not doing much this year, we are in the middle of a kitchen/ pantry reno, extending kitchen and building a walk-in pantry into what was our very tiny dining room so the house is in total chaos, had to pull up bed in spare room and are storing all the lumber etc. Aggh! its a mess ... Last night put kiddos easter basket together and hid some eggs for her to find, we are making a ham, mash, veggie and gravy, just keeping very simple, normally would make fruit, veggie relish, cheese, meat, chip and dip trays and hubby makes little chicken mushroom puffs pastries and friends burger dip with cornchips .. I do make what I call a potato bake, similar to cheesy potatoes/ funeral potatoes but I make it different, I slice potatoes really thin and season and use cream (instead of the cheese soup and sour cream) and then top of with grated cheese, thinly slice onion rings and bacon and bake, its very simple but really good, not something I usually make for easter but its hubbys favorite so will make when its for something special, he also likes your sweet and sour chicken, Ive made it so many times now and have tweaked to suit our taste and he usually requests it for his birthday, we been trying new things for Thanksgiving for the last couple years and this past Thanksgiving we decided on Asian and your sweet and sour and a copycat panda express mushroom chicken were the stars, also made beef and broccoli, spring rolls and lo mein noodles ...

Happy Easter! Dinner with family today at my parents house. There will be 30 of us. I was asked to bring hash brown casserole aka funeral potatoes. I quadrupled the recipe and had to break out the gloves to mix it all up too! 😂. I made a “Death by Chocolate Trifle” to bring for one of the desserts. We are also having ham, salad, veggies, rolls, watergate salad misc appetizers.

We don't like a super thick filling, so I add a bit of chicken stock to my deviled eggs to thin them out a bit and everyone loves them!

For the planner, I just got mine and I’m working on filling it out. But already I can tell two things I would like to suggest. For the weekly menu I personally would like to not have it say “Monday”, “Tuesday” etc. I usually plan for the week but we often switch around what we’re eating from day to day. Also, I would love the shopping list to be on that same page. So when I’m shopping for the week, it’s all on the same page. Not sure if that makes sense.
