One of my favorite Easter eggs is with Simon, when he does the victory animation when he grabs an orb, if you hold down A and B as he is doing it, he will constantly jump and attack like in the castle Vania games

*SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED WORLD OF LIGHT YET* The entire World of Light map is filled with references and Easter eggs for example: *Cutscenes:* the first cutscene takes place on the same cliff from the intro sequence of Brawl (which is also the final cutscene from Subspace). *Light realm:* There you can find Lumiose City, some Alolan Islands, the entire sequence where you unlock most Street Fighter spirits (and Ryu) is a reference to the original Street Fighter games. *Dark realm:* The three main zones of this map are or contain references from lots of Nintendo Games like the zone to the right which leads to Dracula's Castle Dracula himself being the boss, the zone to the top giving you a quiz about lots of games including Brawl and after the Brawl question you fight the boss which is Marx (and in that zone we can see Mario pipes and parts of Green Hill) and the zone to the left making a reference to The Legend of Zelda with the boss being Ganon and the fight taking place on his castle.

If you do classic mode with Mega Man, the final fight will be Dr Mario which is referencing how you fight Dr. Wily in the mega man games. Once you defeat Dr. Mario, Mew two appears and that is referencing how in the end of Megaman 2 it seems that Dr. Wily turns into an alien.
