Raya and the Last Dragon is the latest animated film from Disney, and it has gone over quite well with fans and critics. Like many Disney movies, its story is a simple one, but it has memorable characters and a detailed setting. A lot of work was put into getting the cultures of various Southeast Asian countries right, and there are plenty of Easter eggs that show how hard they worked. In addition, you can find hidden Mickeys, characters from other Disney films, and a whole lot more. Let’s take a look at some Easter eggs you might have missed in Raya and the Last Dragon.

Raya is a really awesome breathe of fresh air in the princess genre. Disney's outdone themselves with this unique take on Southeast Asian culture. Much salute to the animators and staff involved in making this story possible. :) Also TukTuk is cute. :D

Tuk-tuk's shape reminds me of trenggiling actually, they're cute asf and can roll their body into a round shape as well

I don't know if this is an Easter Egg or not but that scene when I saw a purple flower being drifted in the river, it looks kinda similar to the flower in Tangled, not to mentioned that the Tangled flower was also teased in Moana briefly.

7:12 I love how when Namaari gets to meet Sisu, she does the hand gesture high over her head. This is some little detail to show how much she idolize the dragon.

Fact : Druun is represented the kelembai (Malaysian mythology ) ,they can turn humans to stone

A legendary bird in Philippine folklore called "Ibong Adarna" turns humans to stones simply by pooping on them.

Thank you so much for covering this movie. I love the representation of Southeast Asian cultures. I know there were also many Cambodian Bokator fighters and Robam dancers who inspired the creators. Also, I definitely support the Angkorian inspired temples in Rays. Thank you so much!

I have a theory that the baby in Raya is Staci from the Boss Baby franchise. Her look and hair is similar, and her fighting style and movement is similar.

Here's an easter egg that so many people missed, including a bunch of KZfaqrs... The butterflies in the end credits, is an easter egg to "Encanto", which was the next Disney animated to come out after. So the tradition resumed supposedly, as "Frozen II" does not seem to have any easter eggs to "Raya and the Last Dragon". Correct me if I am wrong on this.

The Druuns were everywhere during that 6 years. They didn't turn everyone in Kumandra instantly during the breaking of the dragon gem 6 years ago. So it's possible that Noi's parents only recently turned to stone after the initial incident at Heart Tribe.

I think "ba" is from Chinese language ba is like baba It means dad And i think sisu is from Chinese cause "sisu" the word is almost the same as "sishu wujing" Sishu wujing is the holy book of Confucian religion , the population in China is mostly Confucian

"Baba" also means father in some Visayan languages of the Philippines but I think this specific "Ba" is Vietnamese.
