Welcome to my vlog about my life in Russia.
I'm not from Moscow or Saint Petersburg, I'm from Chelyabinsk. In this video, I will show you Easter products in the most expensive store in Chelyabinsk, called "Theorem". For you to be able to judge if the prices are high or low there, I added the dollar exchange rate (on May 5th) and my Russian salary in the beginning of the video. So, you can compare, if such prices are affordable for my salary or aren't.

Interesting hearing that about little chickens being more of an Easter symbol there!

It came from pagan traditions, actually. A newborn chicken is a symbol of spring as well, because chickens can't be born in winter.

Christmas fruitcakes are popular indeed, especially from northern countries in Europe, but Easter fruitcake, this was the first time seeing it for me too!

Both Christmas and Easter fruitcakes aren't in our tradition. So, they're just fruitcakes called like this.

Happy Easter first of all! It's really interesting to see the variety of treats and delicacies you offer especially for Easter. In Germany, by the way, Easter is celebrated from the end of March up to and including the first of April. I was a little surprised that the (Russian Orthodox) Easter celebration only takes place today respectively in May. Happy Easter again and best wishes to Chelyabinsk!😊

Thank you. It's because we have different calendars and this year yes, our Easter was late. But next year, our both Easters well be on April 20 😉

Переезжайтк в Москву, будете получать 150к за ту же работу. Я не верила что в регионах России маленькие зарплаты, но получать 350 долларов в наше время это очень мало...
