@Amadeo7904 жыл бұрын
It needs more trenches. for all its failings, the battle of Winterfell at least had one trench. I would need the full context of the battle but as I see it, unless the defending army had little time to prepare, they should have built a system of trenches to abuse the charging army and force them to run around them. With an ample use of trenches the enemy would fall to traps set by the defenders and make the enemy easy pickings for archers and those oil blankets. By the time the enemy got to the phalanx, a good chunk of their forces would be dead and would be forced to retreat if not attack with a reduced army. Even if the enemy knew of the trenches, its still a no man's land and the defenders can pick at them wile comfortable to rest or even wait for reinforcements. Siege warfare is amazing.
@adam_clown3 жыл бұрын
@@ArtypNk Rohan had full momentum behind them. The Orcs were retreating and if the Riders retreated, the tide of battle could change just as fast in the enemies favor. They couldn’t fall back to Minas Tirith as the lower levels were swarming with Orcs. The only sound option was to keep the momentum going and charge on ahead

STORM LORD good question my friend.and lucky enough your asking the right man.😀 so how did a small country like Great Britain 🇬🇧 with a vastly smaller population to dominate and completely control an entire sub continent which is now modern day India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka for almost 200 years? Well the answer is quite simple. We were never there to conquer. We were there to trade. The British empire was never one to rape, murder and cause mass genocide. Although if it came to it we could fight like the best of them. We had a much smaller army than the Indians and knew if we wanted to trade we had to get along. We give them Christianity, technology and a good old cup of tea. 😀 Our army is organised and battle ready in case of trouble and was able to call on local tribes when their was trouble. Britain has never fought alone. We kept the local tribes leaders in power almost as a puppet. We policed and made sure tribes kept from attacking each other and causing unrest and generally kept everyone inline. India wasn’t a country like it is now with just one government power. Tribes could be played against each other, thus, easily dividing and conquering the trouble makers allowing companies to continue the trade of silk, opium, tea and spices. Hope this helps. 👍🏻🇬🇧
@300leothelion4 жыл бұрын
Padmanava MUKHOPADHYAY hello there. You went a bit sketchy at the end of your statement there my friend. I couldn’t workout what you were trying to interact. But having the ability to speak 2 languages is impressive... well done to you 👍🏻 I did my best to explain why we held power in India for 200 yrs. I hope this helped to educate a few people. If there are any doubts on the facts I gave please look them up. You made a good point on bringing up the border disputes. The border disputes have always been there and always will. With or without the help from Great Britain 🇬🇧 Even today with modern day Pakistan and our intention was to save lives by separating the religions to avoid mass genocide. Especially with the more gentile regions and keep them out of harms way from the evil that is Islam. To summarise if it wasn’t for British technology, engineering and education then India would still be a warlord state, murdering, raping, enslaving and killing neighbouring tribes. Worse of all, God forbid, you wouldn’t have the good old cup of tea. After all. It’s what civilisations are based on. 😀 Glad I could of been of help. 👍🏻

unknown 20 I didn’t mean to offend. But look up India’s tribal belt. You’ll find it on wiki. I’ll try to explain a little from memory. But you’ll find a more accurate representation on wiki... The diversity, the different language and customs. India had many tribes before she became united. Slowly a lot of these tribes become integrated into the main population joining the cities while they looked for work or to trade. so yes, India had tribes😀. I should of explained more in previous comments about how the sovereign rule at the time(Raj) didn’t know the true population count or where some of these tribes were located. Or even that some villages weren’t known to the Raj. It was the British pioneers who mapped the areas extensively. The underlining reason was so these people could be taxed by the ruler and therefore taxed by the British 😉 hope I helped to clear up that misunderstanding. Enjoy the reading. 👍🏻🇬🇧

Well, there were several Civil Peaces, Re-Peacista and the Spanish Peacesition were the times of great peace. They had the strongest military for a time too. For keeping the peace of course. I won’t complain about the realism since in 300 the Spartans were wearing diapers, and this one isn’t trying to be realistic in the first place. It’s fantasy.

@@therustedshank9995 Not really sword and shield do offer a better chance of survival but dual wielding has its perks like carrying a sword breaker in one hand and a axe in the other can be effective as well. This battle sequence was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. Bad CGI aside, it was exciting, expansive and ridiculous all at the same time. My big question is how did that Prince get so many weapons, every scene it looked like he had some new weapon in his hand. Also the Helicopter Chariot was wonderfully ludicrous, historical accuracy be gone.
