City receptionist gets a huge surprise from Secret Santa

2 жыл бұрынThe EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
As the desk clerk for the city of Rigby, Angie is the face of the city. She is the first person anybody sees when they walk into the city building. She comes in every day with a smile and is personable with anybody she meets.
Angie takes care of her elderly father and her husband, who has health issues. She is the sole provider for her family and drives to work in a very old car. The windows are duct-taped and she has had to take time off when the car was broken down because she could not afford the repairs.
Angie never complains. She works hard every day and makes everyone in the office laugh.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to pay Angie a visit and surprise her with an early Christmas gift. Watch the video above to see what happened!

True! But don't underestimate what money problems do to your mental state. Most of the time you see the weight fall of their shoulders knowing that some of their problems can be solved. Also a new car is something that a lot of people can only dream of. Imagine just getting a car for free, I would cry too

@@MarriedWithBackpacks yes, I think sometimes you can actually physically see them realise their money issues have been substantially helped like a weight has been lifted. I think it’s such a shame that in America hospitals or doctors or even the insurance cost so much. I can’t imagine having to worry about that. I know our NHS isn’t perfect, but it’s free at point of delivery for everyone. This secret Santa is incredible. Imagine being able to help so many people this way.

Definitely! My mother finally got rid of her 2001 Chevy and got a 2019 about 6 months ago. My parents keep vehicles until they basically fall apart. She was surprised by all of the updated technology, but even at age 69 she's got it figured out now. Mostly. Lol

That doesn't comprise their entire working day every day, but, hey, who wouldn't like to bring cheer to people all day long. I think we could simply accomplish that though by smiling at others and being polite!

I'm on a fixed income which is four times below poverty level, but every year I do at least one Secret Santa, last year the person I did it for was so suspicious she called the police on my little gift! So I just had someone tell her a Ward member was behind this, still it made me laugh, I live in a State where members are a minority, I don't just think of members either, whoever needs it, I usually start 12 days before Christmas, one gift for each night along with a made up poem, how I wish I could do this for more people especially the ones who are last according to society, I start in January, find little things on sale that will last til Christmas, it's really a lot of fun and takes my mind off of being alone during the holidays.

I’m so grateful people like this exist out there. I hope to do something like this one day. I know how it feels, my mom and dad are disabled and cannot work. Watching what they have to go though hurts. One day I’ll be able to help so many people like secret Santa here. :)

Nate i have watched you all from Mississippi to Missouri and i have never had a dry eye. I have serious health issues but for the past 34 years and still going i play Santa.
