I'm yet to see or read a bad review for the Eastman SB-56, 57 or 58. Lollar pickups, one piece body, one piece neck, Gotoh hardware, perfectly cut bone nuts, ebony fretboard, Jescar frets, CTS pots, full maple caps. This is all high end stuff. They're hand made, the finishes are flawless. They look good and sound great. They're well priced compared to a Gibson. It's really hard to justify the price of a Gibson USA let alone a Custom Shop when Eastman are making guitars this good. The biggest plus point is despite not having body chambering they nearly all come in at 8lbs or just under. A 10lb Gibson is a tiring axe to play for any length of time and they're so body end heavy they just don't sit well balanced on your lap. My next LP style guitar will almost certainly be an Eastman 56 as I have a Gibson Traditional.

Love the style - more playing, less math. That SB57 is killer.
