Thanks again Andrew for the splitter you gave to Buckin’s channel. He used it again on his last video to help others benefit from it. You’re a good man and your products are first. 👍👍👍

That 37D doesn't labour at all pushing those rounds through unlike the competitors' machines...at the end of the day, it means a ton more wood through the wedge. Great job!!!

Hey Andrew, I've had my 22-28 for 2 weeks now and made my first Eastonmade video 10 days ago. Only had it for three days and mentioned the log cradle as one of the main reasons for choosing Eastonmade. Everything was more than I expected. The Galtech valves are a thing of beauty. Managed to do 1/3 cord in 5:43 (solo) and can honestly say I felt familiar with the machine quickly from watching your videos and the other great channels. Many Thanks!

I've owned a Wolfe Ridge 35C for two years now and I couldn't agree with you more, Andrew. I wish that my machine has that cradle every time I see one of your splitters. If I ever change machines, it will be to a 37d, specifically for the cradle. Other than that I love my splitter.

G'day Andrew, I put my boot up on the nasty blocks then when they let go the other half flys across the yard I work alone when I'm splitting. When I'm in Ontario in summer I've noticed with all the fresh water lakes it certainly makes it steamy 👍.

We had rented a Mighty Ox with a 6 way wedge. My girl runs the splitter and I load the log lift with a thumbed Kubota 008. She did good but several times the big logs rolled off and had her jump out of the way. Next we looked at the Wolf Ridge and although it was a nice splitter it didn't have a cradle. Finally after seeing your videos the cradle just made sense and we purchased a 12-22. She is getting better with the excavator but prefers to split because it is easy for her to operate. The log cradle was key.

I agree Auto cycle is the ticket to speed when splitting. I have a 12-22 and I cannot believe how fast I can process a bush cord of wood. These splitters are awesome.

One of the OG Eastonmades here may not have all the bells and whistles of that 37D but the log cradle it sure does. Still one of the best purchases I have made for my home, yearly firewood is quick to split! Only regret is never getting a conveyor way back because getting the wood away from it and into a trailer or wagon is the time consuming tedious part by far.

If you could design some system that would make all of the 40C cut offs line up for the splitting wedge, you would have an auto wood processor.

you could change the splitter ram auto cycle to a 1 lever operation by putting a steel block on the return lever to move return lever forward with the operation of splitting handle and return cycle will stay forward to return cylinder.

Haha yep today was the worst out there. It’s a Holiday here in the US and had to take advantage and produce. Eastonmade splitters are such production beasts. I just have the Ultra now but man it flies. I had the rounds stacked like you did and they were only 8 inches diameter. Done in no time and the dump truck was full. It doesn’t have cradles or auto cycle but still the stroke is so fast lol.

Fast machine. Cradle is a must. Ive noticed on other top quality spitters that they have to hold the 36” diameter or bigger round to keep it centred, and even by hold it, it still moves of centre. Could the beam and push ram be made into a small V so all size wood gets centred ? Great video. 👋👍🏻

It's' been 90+ (30+ celsius) degrees in NW Ohio since the weekend and will be into next week on top of high dew points. It's tough at times. Great feature you guys have had on those machines. It definitely is good for safety and less frustrating moments of a log tumbling off the unit, I'm sure. Stay cool!

Build a conveyor belt with large sides that you can load rounds into with a loader or by hand and advance the log rounds toward you. Similar to a manure spreader. Make it independent of the splitter so it can be moved easily and used or not used. Come on Andrew, I know you can do it. Do not leave your hand on the log while not looking at the splitter as you may accidently crush your hand.

Only when you have tried the V log cradle, do you realise how effective it is, incredibly simple yet makes the job of log positioning easy. And it’s made of real metal not tin plate, even having the support arm top lugs coming into the V guides adds to the strength.

I'd classify the cradles more of a safety feature, rather than a creature comfort. keeping your wiggly bits out of the danger zone is always a good thing.

@@AllenFamilyFirewood agreed. But I’m looking to purchase a 37d in the near future. My wife and I are retiring in a couple of years and moving to East Tennessee. At 60 years of age now I’m looking for something that will make it as easy on me as possible and a hopper/feeder would be the answer.
