LOL! Ok, my friend. I think you just threw down the Gauntlet. I know Husky Bob thinks you are the Cat's meow with your fancy Husqvarna but maybe it's about time I took a road trip up to Perth with My STIHL 462 to show you how to buck logs....😀 but love the cool new front mount log splitter. :))

They are definitely handy. I have one the same style but just from another vendor. I like my body so I opted to now have machines do the hard work. Screw rolling it around. This MS324 is well priced too. Honestly if I didn’t have mine already I would have ordered one in a heartbeat. Once you have one you will know why. Andrew, I think the only thing you might want to add is something to protect the cylinder and fitting at the end. They eventually do get banged around when you are not careful or simply didn’t see whatever it was in the way.

Good video Andrew. I left a comment on your latest short about how precise you were this splitter. Then I see this video elaborating on that concept. Great attachment!

That's a wee bit quicker on the JCB.. I'd like to see it on a ZW 50 wheel loader.. and maybe a mini excavator. Don't have an excavator but I'm thinking it would shine!!

I bought a 4409 splitfire for my excavator. But I sure like this unit and it has a lot of uses . It’s nice to have a variety in splitters and I am working on that .

Hi Andrew!!😀😀 I really love the new splitter!! The only thing I would like to see on it is a heavy shield over the cylinder to protect it working around the log pile. Take care my friend!!😀😀💚💚 Logger Al

I like this attachment 👍 It will make busting down big rounds safer and easier. Maybe some traction "teeth" on the right side of the frame to make rolling/positioning rounds easier and extend the frame to shield the hydraulic cylinder more? Overall it looks like a great machine 😊

There's no way that it's a useless implement!!! For the guy like me that isn't 20 and has a bad back. Man that thing looks like the way to go. What about a low flow version?

It is a great implement. I would like to see a cage around the hydraulic cylinder. After watching Jake @Duderanchdiy run the one you sent him. It looks like someone might not be able to turn an employee loose with one.

It would be better if the wood and steel could collide when approaching a piece of wood but MS 324 does not operate like that. That is the primary defect that I have noticed. Fortunately, I don't think it is a problem that would be difficult to remedy. As it is, the vast majority of the pressure will be on the outside end of the knife edge. This will cause unnecessary wear on various pants. This is not the main bad effect. The main bad effect is that it is so difficult for the operator to maintain appropriate spacing. If the operator did not need to be focusing on the spacing problem he could be thinking several moves ahead.
@EastonmadeWoodSplitters
@EastonmadeWoodSplitters 3 ай бұрын
Ive got your emails jake. Its really not that big of a deal. The operator would more or less be forcing the round into the beam on every split as it happens. This just isnt the case once you get some run time on it.
@jakebredthauer5100
@jakebredthauer5100 3 ай бұрын
@@EastonmadeWoodSplitters It must be a big deal because you use machines on your processors to stop the log in a particular location. Operators could stop the log manually on a processor but they don't want to. Mechanization wins over manual operation.

Andrew, I think my skid steer is approximately 15 gallons/per minute. Do you see any issues or problems with lower flow machines? Probably just a bit slower ram stroke?
