Love the splits that pizza wedge produces. When we started selling firewood my son says “ dad your being too picky about the splits”😂 We sold 80% of our wood in bundles so having clean nice sized splits is essential. That wedge and setup on a splitter like the 37d took a massive machine that most think of as smashing heating wood thru to make quick firewood a whole new option for bundle wood makers. Well done Andrew👍🏻👍🏻

I see the scrap under the screen and picture a way of bundling it as kindling to maybe as a way to get every possible penny out of the wood. Nice set up by the way.

You make wonderful equipment. Can you eliminate the log lift and put a raised hopper with a conveyor that feeds the logs to the operator? Like a manure spreader. Or make a hydraulic dump that tilts the hopper toward the operator. Like an old dump trailer. Can you also make containers that catch the scrap wood under the separator? A catch pan or bag so the wood scrap does not mix with the dirt. This would save time so the operator does not have to shovel it out from under there.

Make a kindling catcher under the screener with expansion metal and add it to the accessory add on list. It would maximize profit potential and limit waste.

It's great that you can slowly add on more equipment as you grow and your needs change, way to stay ahead in the firewood equipment game.

Are you referring to equipment manufacturers?
@carnesdiy
@carnesdiy 5 ай бұрын
@@jakebredthauer5100 yes, equipment manufacturers. Must that I've seen you can't go from having a stand alone splitter then slowly add a conveyer and a disk cleaner to all run off of the one power source. If there is another one I have not seen it.

I'd like to see how much the Grizzley bars on the end of a conveyor removes vs. the screener in a situation like this.

I have 24ft with grizzly bars and yes they remove the fine debris and kindling but the heavier irregular pieces go in the basket. I split tree service gnarly wood. Enough chip debris in the basket to upset a few people. There's a need for a disc screener. I just don't think I would use it to make another pile though. I've debated a second custom set but then your limiting your pile height. Not the worst problems to have

That’s a very nice option to have with a box wedge. 🤔 The disc cleaner will pay for itself quickly in the time saved to sort out the waste wood and chips. Now all you need is a grinder or mulching machine to turn the waste material into sellable product. Definitely like to get my hands on a disc cleaner. 😎🪵
