In this video I demonstrate how I paint my backdrops. This is an easy and affordable way to make backdrops. Clouds for Wilmer!! Sorry for the camera work in the beginning.

@@FlyingCrow I know! He starts out and you think what in the world and then in the end there's a beautiful work of art! I wish I could paint landscapes like him to use for my backdrops!

Great job, Robert. I do see a lot of happy trees. Ha ha I do agree about the lighter blue sky. Thanks for showing us how you painted your backdrop. I will have to catch me back to this video when I’m ready to paint. Happy model railroading! - Drew

Very good demonstration - I use the same method for all my backdrop scenery, and from a distance it looks cool. Well done - Kevin

Thanks for the demonstration of your technique Robert. I plan on using the same basic method for my backdrops when I get to that point. I believe that the point you made is that the result gets better the less you think about it. Art...

Absolutely. When you keep trying to add is when things go awry.

Great video - question, how did you mount the boards to your walls? Thanks in advance.

I screwed them into the studs with a #8 screw and finishing washer. You can just paint over the screws and it hides them fairly well.
