You did a really great job on this bag... I love how you don’t ramble and say a whole bunch of unnecessary stuff about the dog the cat the kids the vacation. You stick to your script and you’re so easy to follow and understand. Thank you so much for sharing.

I love your tutorials. I've been on a bag making kick and need them for all my many knitting projects. I found the easiest way to run your cotton cord through the drawstring tabs is to use a Tunisian crochet hook (but any long knitting needle or similar would work). I happened to have one already from doing Tunisian crochet before and I can take a tiny piece of tape and attach the cord to the end of the hook and just shove it right through the entire drawstring tab in a second. Then I do the other side and boom done. It's a lot easier than the safety pin.

Erica, I have learned so much from watching and sewing your projects. I am a beginning sewer,-don’t think I’ll ever advance==and I very much appreciate how clearly you explain each step. I can now box corners, create and sew on handles, and develop drawstring casings. This particular bag has helped me learn several important skills so that I don’t feel that I’m a complete idiot when it comes to learning to sew and for that I am so grateful. Thank you so much for this tutorial, so easy to follow. I made the bag for my new bicycle basket, I made two changes, firstly I hid the start of the handle in the bottom of the bag rather than let it show, I thought it might give it more strength and I divided the sides to make four pouches, it turned out just perfect, thank you for all your tutorials you are so clever.
