Ingredients:
- 350g Beef, sliced thinly
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsps Cornstarch, or enough to coat
Sauce:
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Ginger, grated
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 1 Red Chillli, sliced
- 1 Capsicum, sliced
- 2 tbsps Sambal Oelek or Sriracha (adjust to spice tolerance)
- 2 tbsps Tomato Ketchup
- 2 tbsps Dark Soy Sauce or Kicap Manis
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- Cooking Oil

Europeans never get this dish right! I tried often but some ingredients always miss or not done really right amount. Especially with the cornstarch. It’s not so easy that it doesn’t clumps all together and sticks together. It’s quite a mess and work! But I love it! Especially with tamarind added to the sweet sour chilli Sauce! Asian cuisine is absolute the master of frying things ! Whole fish! Pancakes. Uffff. Love it! Never get these dishes in Europe cooked as it should be as I am used to them like in Thailand for example.

What beef part you take best for this dish? I usually tend to take Roastbeef and slice it really really thin with a good sharp knife.

Flank would work, but here I used chuck; any cheap cut of beef that I want to use up basically! it's why i love this recipe for using up any cheap cuts

@@weisswurstfruhstuck8523 oh for sure! since you're slicing it thinly, and cooking it through (no medium rare here). save your good cuts for something else :)
