I've been crocheting for almost 50 yrs. I have three new in laws this year so I'm going to be making 2 dish clothes with 3 matching dish towels for Christmas. I also may make fancy guest hand towels to hang in their 2nd bathroom. This is a great pattern for new crocheters, but it is a beautiful pattern to use no matter how long you have been crocheting. 🥰 Very nice video for the beginners!!! 🧶

I am not a crocheter, but I love this. I came from Another Yarn and this may be easy enough for me to pick up (I can chain stitch (provisional cast-on) and a single crochet (edging for knitting) and that is all. You may have given me a bit of confidence to give it a try. As a knitter, I am curious as to whether you use the fabric glue for all projects, like wool and the like?
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany 9 ай бұрын
Welcome! I'm so glad you found my channel. I hope you do give this project a try. It is my favorite washcloth pattern to use. Great question on the fabric glue. Yes! You can use it on any fiber type. It's completely safe, and we only use a small little drop. This stuff lasts forever. I have actually had the glue harden over time because I had it for years without it running out. Haha. BUT it is only one very specific Fabric Glue that I trust and recommend. Be very careful because using the wrong one CAN ruin a project. Found that out the hard way. If you are going to give Fabric Glue a try please only use the Aleene's Fabric Fusion Quick Dry. You can find it at JoAnn's Fabric, Hobby Lobby and even Amazon. Here's a quick Amazon link if you would like to research it and check it out more. CLICK HERE: amzn.to/45cs1cm

Do you have to use the back/bottom spot when making the second line? It's so difficult for me to do that. Can it be done with the top line instead?
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany 4 ай бұрын
Working into the stitches of this pattern can be a little tricky. I have found that if I actually look at the top of the row directly at the V's it makes it easier to know where to place your crochet hook. Because you do want to work under both loops and not just one. 😊❤️🧶
@cathiesmith0812
@cathiesmith0812 Жыл бұрын
I love this pattern! How come you put the 2 yarns on top and the 1 on the bottom?
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany Жыл бұрын
That is a great question Cathie! It's what I have always done since I basically taught myself how to crochet. I figured if all stitches are worked under both loops unless instructed to do differently that working off the foundation row done the same way. It really wasn't until much later in life I saw many people working under one loop off the foundation row. Tried it, didn't like the results. I do however really like the look of working through the back hump of the foundation row chain that you can find when turning the V's over. That results in the V stitches facing downward and makes it look super clean. 😊❤️🧶

When you insert the hook each time, do you insert into only the very top hole (one thread) ?
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany Жыл бұрын
That is a great question! You will always insert your crochet hook underneath both loops of the Stitch completely under the V on the top. You will only go under on loop if specifically instructed to work your stitch under the Front Loop Only or Back Loop Only of the stitch space. I hope this helps! 😊🧶❤️

I love this pattern, but I am having the most difficult time along the sides, any suggestions. I am new so please use newbie terms. Thank you.
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tiffany! I totally understand. There are two things I can suggest to help you out with the sides of you washcloth. One, count the number of stitches as you work the row for the first 4 rows. That way you will be on count having the same number of stitches in each row and it will give you an idea of how each row looked when you started it and when you ended it. Second thing you could try is using row markers or stitch markers. (They are the same thing). And placing one in the very first stitch or your row and one in the very last stitch of your row. This will help you to make sure you begin and end on the stitch you want and don’t go over or stop short. I hope this helps! Good luck and have fun! 😊❤️🧶

Hi Susan! Never a stupid question. I appreciate you asking for clarity. Hmm, yes, you will want your last stitch to be a sl stitch in this case. Let's start over together. Chain 21. Make a Half Double Crochet in the second chain from your hook and then continue the pattern. Give that a try and then let me know if it helped at all. 😊🧶🧡

Hi Lynn! I used the Crunch Stitch for this pattern but I think you could also use a Moss Stitch to get a very similar look. 😊🧶🧡

Great question. This was my very first tutorial and at the time I didn’t know how to make a pdf copy for people so I put all the instructions in the description section of the video. 🤦🏼‍♀️. The things you learn as you go.

We can chat about your experience and together we can figure it out. If you have not tried mu Crochet Club Membership yet I do have a 10 day trial period where you can join my Zoom Live meeting and get help without committing to anything. Then take a peak around to see if you would like to stick around. It's pretty awesome and I hope you give it a try. CLICK HERE: members.CrochetwithTiffany.com 😊🧶❤️

Hi Bernadette! I can help with this. If you are watching my video from a phone or tablet, Below the video you will see the title and then next to the title on the right hand side you will see a 'v'. If you push on that 'v' it will reveal my description section where you will see the pattern and can screen shot and print that out. If you are watching from a computer (or sometimes this will show up on a phone or tablet), below the video you will see a paragraph description connected to the video. Following that paragraph you will see "SHOW MORE". If you push on the "SHOW MORE" it will open up my whole description section including the pattern. Let me know if this helps! Thanks for asking. 😊🧡🧶

It's ok. If you are having difficulty with this project try stepping back and checking out the fundamentals, practice super basic stitches, get comfortable and then come back to this project. You'll get it! 😊❤️🧶
