No need for oven. ..it is air dry clay

If you do this with air dry clay, you don't need an oven, and the building process is similar. Just paint it once it dries then superglue the gem to it. If you're using polymer clay like in the video, use the appropriate paint for the clay and oven-bake it following the instructions on the clay packaging, then glue the gem to it. Either way, don't put the gem on it until you've done everything else, or you'll have problems painting it/baking it.
