Point a light at it for 24 hours a day you'll grow Algae in no time, just make sure the light isn't to close or it can get to hot depending on intensity.

Cool tutorial (also for screams in the background xD) ! But I have 2 questions: 1° Is it normal that spirulina algae became that brown? This doesn't mean they're dead and they can't produce oxygen or food for the shrimps? 2° What is the best salinity? If I haven't a salted water aquarium where I can find or how can I make the perfect water conditions (with bacteria and so on)?

frenc pios Yes it's normal for your algae to grow brown. And to achieve the best salinity you want 2 table spoons of salt per liter of water, if you have a hydrometer, 1.020 is a good salinity, but it doesn't have to be perfect. Lol sorry about the backround noises. Thanks for watching.

win shean you can add some, but in my ecosphere I haven't added any and the brine shrimp are doing just fine as adults. But if you want you can add it to be safe it's just to balance the ph.

@@MrWinshean @ricky vargas - i found a great way of stabilizing the PH levels: check out Dolomite gravel! - alkaline reaction that rasies ph, ideal for Malawi & Tanganyika Biotopes - i have had problems with baking soda creating a strange dense cloud at the bottom, seems to have killed triops & brine in my studies

It should work. If not iodine free table salt is probably fine too.

Yep it can work without the pump, I recomend putting the container by a window I've had some colonies of brine shrimp last for a long time this way.
