Hi Erica … I made your drawstring bag this week … so cute! I liked it so much that I’m making another in red, white and blue. Using shoelaces for the ties.

I was trying to figure out what to make my friend for her birthday and your tutorial showed up at just the right time. I rushed home from work and made this bag. I like the way it came together, but it took me longer than an hour. My friend loves bright colors so I put together a bag with yellow, orange, red, green and I think this bag is right up her alley. Thank you Erica, I love the way the bag turned out.

These would make great teacher gifts also..you add the name at the top of the bag with embroidery or htv..then fill up with some favorites of the teachers ..snacks..tea bags..hot chocolate..tissues etc as a fun little handmade gift..

Just finished my bag! I didn’t do embroidery on mine and I thought I needed interfacing on the drawstring casing but otherwise it is almost like the one you made.😀

I noticed that your not back tacking. I understand why not as your piecing it together but I’m not sure why your not doing it when your attaching it to the larger pieces of material?? I hope this makes sense??
