Ingredients:
Pastry sheets (Thaw for 2 hours)
Egg - 3 (Hard boiled and deshelled)
Onion - 2 (Thinly sliced )
Ginger - 1 big piece (Crushed)
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Coriander Powder - 2 ½ tsp
Chilly Powder - 1 ½ tsp
Pepper Powder - ½ tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Salt
Oil
Egg (For egg-wash)
Maida (For dusting)
Steps:
Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and ginger and saute well.
Add required salt and mix well.
Once the onion becomes soft, add turmeric powder and sauté well till the raw smell goes.
Add coriander powder and sauté well till the raw smell goes.
Then add chilly powder and pepper powder and sauté well till the raw smell goes.
Add garam masala and mix well.
The masala for the filling is ready. Set aside.
Take a pastry sheet
Spread some maida on the kitchen top.
Lay the sheet on top of it.
Sprinkle some maida on top of it.
Gently spread the sheet using a rolling pin.
Cut it into 6 square pieces. Dust off the excess maida, if any.
Spread each sheet again.
Place one spoonful of masala in the center of each sheet.
Halve the egg. Take one piece and dip the yolk side in pepper powder and place it on the masala.
Apply the beaten egg on all sides of the sheet.
Fold the sheet from the corners to the center.
Stick the corners properly. You can fold in any shape.
Line a butter paper on a baking tray and place it in the tray.
Apply the beaten egg.
Bake it at 350°F/180°C for 30 minutes or till the top turns golden.
Enjoy the egg puffs.
