THANK YOU! Had two previous Samsungs, but my new one had HORRIBLE voice to text. Randomly putting periods in the middle of sentences, spelling out the word "period" when I said period, and so on. I did find "voice input" setting, but that did not work, as you mentioned. So glad I found this video, and thanks again.

I followed your easy instructions to a "t" and learned, with the latest Samsung update, (Dec,2023) its been moved yet again! initially it was under what you stated, "Samsung keyboard settings"-- now you under , "keyboard list and default"- you will find "google voice typing" - I appreciate you taking the time, and getting me to the near vicinity! You are honestly a lifesaver! The default Android voice to text was driving me absolutely crazy! Especially since I am texting people 95% of the time instead of calling. You seriously made my life so much easier and I super appreciate this video!

What I don't understand is why is Samsung voice input so bad. It's not a little bit bad I mean it's absolutely horrible to the point that it's pretty much unusable

I rely on voice to text and samsung's terrible voice typing caused so much random embarrassment lol.... I could change it with each text but was so frustrated that I couldn't get it to stick. Holy s*** I cannot tell you how much of a lifesaver this was. Just switch from a Google pixel 2 a Samsung since my pixel completely turned off on me. I've made this entire message in Google Voice to typing on my Samsung and I cannot thank you enough

This video is a lifesaver! I just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S23+ from my Samsung Galaxy S7 and this is so much better than dealing with the Samsung speech to text function. I've had the old one randomly capitalize words that didn't need it, it would start capitalizing proper nouns only to change them to lowercase by the end, it would spell out ending punctuation marks, etc. Google Voice is not perfect, but it's definitely a step up from Samsung's speech to text function.

Life changing.. omg... didn't realize my phone switched back to Samsung... it couldn't do numbers... kept completely spelling them out... for money, time, etc... so annoying. Also ran all sentences together as one word. Google is MUCH better, Thank you

WOW! What a relief. I've had a terrible time with Samsung Voice, sending almost incomprehensible, and often funny texts. If I said, "question mark," instead of adding the punctuation, it just wrote it. Note that he said they had changed the location of the place to make this change, with their latest update. I hope this won't happen again. I feel like I owe this guy a drink.

This video changed my life!! After the last update, I was very frustrated with my voice texting. I even went in to change it to google (with no idea is auto changes back) and since it kept on I assumed it was on google and the update just sucked. If you had not done your video the way you did, where you showed that it auto changes back, I might not have finished it and never knew! You did great!!!

I was just about to head out to my local Verizon store. I have the Galaxy s22+, it had been working great up until recently. I never even knew there was another voice to text option.

I would definitely switch back to Google pixel in the future. Even something like answering a phone call is difficult on the s21. I find myself having to swipe multiple times it's so frustrating

Samsung did an "update", totally changing my settings to benefit them, and as they are competing with Google, removed the google voice to text icon from the screen. Even when I attempted to put it back it wouldn't go back, and I put the Samsung one on my screen and then used it. What a lame feature. I have to ask, do any Samsung employees even use their own voice to text feature? I bet if I did a survey, they all have the google microphone on their S24's, etc. I'm going to try and find where in this phone there is a setting to stop automatic updates!
