Garage Door Issue: how to troubleshoot when Up Arrow Flashes 4 & Down Arrow Flashes 6 times on LiftMaster
1. Clear all obstruction b/w sensors
2. Align both sensors correctly if LED color is not steadily glowing
3. Elevate sensors a bit up in location

So helpful! Mine was refusing to close and kept saying obstruction. Cleared all debris and cobwebs and wiped the lenses. It still said obstruction. Double checked lights and wiring. (Solid yellow and solid green). It still said obstruction. Double checked that sensors aligned, and they were to within 1/16 of an inch. Finally, I moved the sensors close to supports for the track to reduce vibrations (as video mentioned) and now it works perfectly! Huge thanks. Not sure I would have ever thought of it.

Thank you so much for your additional troubleshooting suggestion to wipe the lens! I was trying for hours and did not have flashing lights; I was at a loss. Once I wiped down the lenses with a Clorox wipe I found a small spiderweb and removed it along with some dust. Sure enough, that did the trick! Thank you thank you thank you!!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thank you ! After hours of troubleshoots with steady amber, green lights I was at a loss. I never would have thought to clean the lens thinking if the lights are steady I should be good. Couple of seconds with a damp napkin and thing works like a charm.

My garage door opener kept going up and down at various points - and had to hold the inside wall mounted button until it closed... I replaced BOTH Green light and Orange Light Sensors ($24) and fixed the problem. The Orange light is the primary sensor and the green light is the reflector. Then I moved both sensors higher so water/debris/bugs don't get into them or effect the wiring housing. Works fine now.

My door try to close and then reverses on its own. Notices 4up and 1 down arrow blinking lights in the door closing device. They green and orange lights in sensor are on and not flashing, seems steadily on. Can no see any obstructions in between. I try to set with the adjust button but door wont go down more than certain exact level each time. Anything you can think of which can be helpful for me ?

Sounds like a different issue than mine. Pls check the manual of issue code: what I found from my manual - Manually open and close the door. Check for binding or obstructions, such as a brokenspring or door lock, correct as needed. If the door is bindingor sticking contact a traineddoor systems technician. If door is not binding or sticking attempt to reprogram travel(refer to page 26).

Cleaned my lens’ oiled all the moving parts of the door and My led’s are solid I can force the door closed by holding the button down and the error code goes away it opens back up by pushing the button once but the error code comes back when it’s fully open looks like I might have to reach for my wallet 😢😢😢😢

@@BluebonnetU update my sensors were slightly out of alignment the green led was on but flickered slightly upon closer inspection and after tinkering a bit with it I figured it out THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS VID I WOULDVE NEVER FIGURED IT OUT WITHOUT YOUR HELP!!! Left you a like and subbed best part is it cost me zero dollars just a little time and patience lol 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
