Thanks Gabriel, this lesson is timely for me. I've been working on jams in Mixo and applying my own noodling mostly or stealing Duane or Jimi licks. So this really helps give me a concept of doing more with less with the Root and 3rd. If you ever play live in Los Angeles, LMK. I'd buy a ticket. :-) Thanks

Really good, people can’t seem to get that R/3rd thing but it tremendously helps. If u wanna work on any song that has a melody like high time, comes a time, ect it will help finding those melody notes as well and by the way u must have gotten lucky grabbing that 1st issue single run J’Mayer rig ! Definitely my fav of the prs line

Awesome work man. Subscribed. Would you be able to do a lesson on approaching faster tempo Dead songs like Bertha? Maybe taking a page out of Mayer’s soloing chops and breaking down how to approach fast runs and transitions into the chord changes?

But when you walk up to the root note of the next chord your not just playing root and thirds. I understand what your saying but you make it out to be like oh I'm only playing two notes for each chord. But your walking up to those notes so you should include those notes as well.
