Easy Homemade Steamed Custard / NO Starch, No Flour Right in Your CSO!
Ingredients:
1.5 tsp of preferred flavor extract (episode demo is almond)
¼ c. honey (or ¾ c. sugar)
8 egg yolks
2 ¼ c. heavy cream
Pinch of salt
In a mixing bowl:
add yolks
add honey
add extract
mix well
set aside
Then:
bring 2 ¼ c. heavy cream with a pinch of sale to a simmer over
medium heat
Then, remove from heat
place 6 - 4 oz ramekins on the perforated pan
slowly whisk heated cream into the egg mixture
Then:
strain mixture through mesh strainer/funnel
pour into ramekins
Load into CSO - Level 2
Set to Steam Mode Only 190 degrees for 30 minutes
When done, let cool for 15 minutes before chilling
