I finally got on an AWESOME swim jig bite! I was testing out the new swim jig from Cumberland Pro Lures and it didn't disappoint. I found quality fish and had a lot of good bites...before we got rained out. I'll show you how I caught the fish, provide tips fishing this from the bank, and discuss the combo that I used and why!

Sometimes the nicest things are the simplest things, one rod, one reel, one lure, many fish. Knowing how to fish swim jigs can be your go to moving bait in a great many situations but none better than grass. That was a terrific video, all the essentials.

Had a ton of luck on the swim jig this year. Bluegill and all white. When the frog bite was slow I'd toss it around the heavy grass.. Keep one tied on for a few months now.

watch this video and one you did a while ago on the swim jigs. Feeshing has been hard the last couple days, even when conditions were right. Went out and got a few swim jigs today and went out. Caught 3 bass; 1.5, 1.33 and 1.25 pounds on the swim jig. I LIKE IT! Thanks Debo!

Love the swim jig. I’m here in Iowa as well and the swim jig with some sort of trailer on it has been my go to for quite sometime. Always enjoy your videos and learn lots. Was away from fishing for around fifteen years. Love you and Dizzle for keeping it real and honest that dinks and slow days are a true reality. Great Swimjig bass there, Debo!!!! 4#s is a good Bass anywhere!!! I always keep one tied on this time of year. Last year was my year for the Swimjig. This year, ..... I believe it is going to be Choppo & Bellows Gill. That's what is my pattern in the morning. Early choppy water should make for a awesome morning tomorrow. Great video 👊

My brother lived in Iowa for about 5 years. I visited and thought Iowa sucked. But then I found Debo and Marling baits and I guess Iowa isn't so bad. But by God its a cold windy place. I went in October and it felt like winter being from Tennessee

LOVE a swimjig! I really like using flapping craws on the back of them like chigger craws and yum Christie craws. I’ll also use a swimbait like a strike king rage swimmer or a keitech fat impact. Occasionally I’ll throw a cut down swimming worm!

Quantity + some quality mixed in! I love a swim jig in the spring and fall. I tend to fish a bluegill pattern hardcore in the spring then a white one in the fall. Also, nice Burly hat 💚

Committed to throwing a jig for one day. I had only found one bluegill patterned swim jig at my local tackle shop and got bit off on my first bite of the day. Had to switch to a regular Hack Attack jig in a similar pattern. Still seemed to work and ended up catching my first smallie. Definitely adding it to my arsenal.

Jig bite can really get it done! What’s everyone’s favorite trailer and color combos? I’ve been doing well with the bluegill and Green pumpkin with matching Googan Bandito bug trailers.

Bluegill and green pumpkin for sure. When I'm feeling crazy I use a shad or white trailer so it stands out a little and looks different.

I hate to be that guy but I actually don’t know how trailers work… I know it is a second hook (at least I think) but does it have a second soft plastic? How does it attach to the first? I assume it is to increase hook up ratio.

@@sudrax2267 with jigs, there’s no need for a trailer hook, but for spinner baits I use them often. A trailer hook is just a hook that is threaded thru the eye of the lure hook and secured with some plastic tubing to keep it from sliding off. Im going to put together a tutorial on it and post it to my channel soon. Trailers on a jig are just soft plastics that are great baits in their own right, but add additional action and a bigger profile to the jig skirt and hook.

The swim jig is one of my non-confidence baits. Typically I'm pitching or casting a jig around cover, or dragging it on the bottom. But I definitely need to work on the swim jig.

If you don't put Dizzles name as "The Bullfrog" for the next live I'm gonna be a little disappointed. 😆 I was also ready for you to get us with the circle game coming out of the fish's mouth. I need to commit to the swim jig more! I've tried it a few times and gotten bites but for what ever reason I always swap to something else. Time to rig up some rods!
