Alternative repair for when lime plastering has started to come away from the laths behind. Instead of ripping all the plaster from the wall, instead you can re-attach the plaster to the laths behind using a glue and clamp method.

Great explanation of your method. I am looking to do the same. How breathable do you think the glue is? And is this a concern to you? Thanks

The glue is probably not very breathable but in this case this is an internal wall so it (hopefully) shouldn't be getting wet and needing to remain breathable

Good job, where did you get the washers from ?

If you Google 'insulation discs' you should get a few options. I think I got mine from eBay which was the cheapest I could find at the time

I think looking at this and spending my lifetime doing masonry and Plastering it would have been a lot faster just to cut the peace out and replace it with drywall

Removing lath and plaster is a lot of work and a LOT of mess.
