The awesome Philippa Hanna joins us at the Foundry demoing the new SHURE beta Microphones and the KSM 313 with a cover of Easy.
The new beta microphones are extremely versatile, great for almost any application. The beta 27 gives a warm and rich tone great for anything from percussion to vocals. We got a gorgeous sound from the KSM 313 in front of the guitar body.
Overall the 313 and beta microphones were enjoyable and easy to work with.

One of the best covers of this song I've heard. She has great control of her voice, and nice guitar work, too. The drummer kept it going, but without being obtrusive. Well done.

Nice. What model Shure mic (even though it probably doesn't matter)? I would have toned down the volume on the drums (even if it sounds good).

I leave a far greater number of critical posts on KZfaq than positive ones. Yeah I'm a critic. In the first few bars of this I thought "Here we go again...Mousey voice...Fast vibrato...Incessant vocal trills and over-singing acrobatics...Another pile of cookie-cutter crap". But, this chick was musical and groovy enough that it placated my desire to say all of that (all though I did just say it) and I listened right through to the end. And that's as close as I'm gonna get to a compliment. Oh yeah and the drummer had a nice feel and pocket too.
